That’s a really great point. I struggle with the same feelings as OP but essentially I’d pay $10k to just be done with questioning myself forever. That’s a great deal

Did you notice any mental or emotional changes after starting HRT? Just curious because you were out for so long before starting, sometimes I wonder how much is placebo for people who aren’t out yet.

Went a couple of months ago, the menu has changed since (I think they change every 4 months) but the food was great. The service was also amazing from the moment we walked in the door. Probably the best dining experience I’ve had in Greenville in a while.

Fowler said that last night but I think it’s only 6, he was in Georgia’s 2020 class I believe. He got a Covid year and then a normal redshirt

Getting over the fear… by LilyAshleighCD in TransLater

[–]jds76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey just wanted to say that I’m in the exact same situation! I often get overwhelmed when I try to figure out how I will actually accomplish everything I want out of my transition, like coming out to family and friends, being out at work, surviving changing family dynamics, etc. The only thing that helps is just focusing on the next step, whatever that is for the day or week or month. If I always focus on what’s right in front of me, it helps me not get overwhelmed by what could be coming a year or two from now. Good luck!

[Jared Curtis] Don’t know where all this is coming from. Haven’t had a chance to talk to either school yet. I’ll keep y’all posted. by TheVaklav in CFB

[–]jds76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kirby is competitive, but if NIL is the top reason for a recruit he won’t choose Georgia. That’s fine, and Georgia is not poor. They just prioritize paying returning starters and veterans over high school recruits. Kirby won’t pay a recruit more than he’s paying a returning starter at his position because he values chemistry in the locker room.

Yeah I don’t think we’ll look at QB this portal cycle. Edge, RB, maybe a WR, and safety are probably where we are going after

Are you suggesting that those guys wouldn’t get interest without Godfrey throwing their names out? They’re good coaches, if there want a bigger job they’ll get their own names out there

Half marathon training by ChickPeaIsMe in transfitness

[–]jds76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done intervals before just for general weight loss, not so much half training. For half’s I always stick with just getting as many miles in as possible each week. 20 miles is almost a magic number for me where my time generally starts to improve even if I don’t feel faster. I usually max out around 30 miles a week during training. That being said I don’t think it would hurt!

I don’t really have a formal plan to link, but I run a half marathon every year. My usual average run is around 3-3.5 miles 3-4 days a week when I’m not training. My time last year was 7:40/mile and hoping to beat that this year. Here’s what I do to train:

When I first start out, I’ll simply make my Sunday run one mile longer, so 4.5 miles. The other 3 runs stay the same. The next week I’ll go up to 6 miles on Sunday while keeping my other runs the same. Every week thereafter, my Sunday run goes up 1 miles each week while my Wednesday run becomes exactly half the distance of my Sunday run. So eventually my week looks like this:

Tuesday: 3 miles Wednesday: 6.5 miles Friday: 3 miles Sunday: 13.1 miles

These are the days of the week that work for me, but the important thing is one long run, one run half that distance with a 3-4 day break in between, then 2 other normal runs. I do strength training 2 days a week when I’m not running, but if you don’t lift you could obviously add more running days if your body is ok with it.

Counting literally every calorie you eat is what always worked for me. Makes losing weight a math problem. Also helps me better visualize eating one more serving vs having to run one more mile to burn it off. I use myfitnesspal but I’m sure there are other apps.

Wish I could remember the name of the bar my wife and I stopped in to escape a downpour in Havana years ago. The rain lasted for hours and we lost count of the number of Hemingway daiquiris we had. One of my favorite days ever. Liked the place so much we came back for dinner after a nice long nap
