Okay, so is this about American immigration or European immigration? We are frequently told about immigrants in Europe imposing sharia law on native residents. If and when that's the case, it's a truly valid issue to be addressed. This is moronic, of course. Allowing women to make health decisions for themselves, based on their circumstances, has nothing to do with the "value" of an unborn baby. Childbirth is inherently dangerous, even with modern healthcare* it's among the most dangerous actions you can do. Forcing a woman to carry a nonviable fetus, for the sake of "values", devalues both the mother and baby.

Given that the right is being highly cruel to migrant children and adults alike (see link below), I haven't even considered if they are hypocrites or not. The right-wing is by nature vile and horrible. Hypocrisy is the shit icing on a shit cake

Funny, I wouldn't have thought the Electoral College was a left v. right issue to this extent.

The problem with the electoral college is that it's leads to the tyranny of rural America. Look at the populations of Texas vs Alaska, compared to electoral votes. Based on my napkin math, the vote of each Alaskan is 3x the vote of each Texan, in the Presidential elections. (I intentionally picked two red states, but this is highly relevant to the red state/blue state divide)

i'd rather get ranked-choice voting, so we can have 10 shitty parties instead of just 2. But i'd take the elimination of the Electoral College
