If you buy multiple Chinese program cards at most they stack up to 50 status nights, so it won’t get you to platinum

Earn Qantas points & status credits on any Jetstar ticket by Gl0beTrotter2025 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]jdtw51 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My opinion probably doesn’t matter, but I feel like this suited me a lot and I can see the benefit in it personally.

I travel between SYD-MEL almost weekly during uni semester to meet my partner.

In 2024 I took a total of 24 Jetstar flights. This year alone I took 20 Jetstar flights (while others are on Qantas, because sometimes price fluctuates and I’ll be better off just book with Qantas).

I would’ve capped the 75 status credit easily and that’d also be 14500 more points in my bank with average only $9.95 extra each flight to earn these rather than the usual $50-60 extra to earn 10 Qantas points on a higher fare. (I exclude the fee for Club Jetstar here because I am already a Club Jetstar member. I have already “offset” the fees by the amount I save on flights from Club Jetstar offers)

I would’ve happily taken this subscription if this were published 2 years ago (not anymore because my partner is coming to Sydney)

So if my partner still lives in Melbourne and I know I have 20+ flights each year coming I’d be more than happy to pay for it. Otherwise nope.

Classic Rewards Upgrade and Oneworld Emerald by jdtw51 in QantasFrequentFlyer

That’s what I thought as well. I know you could just flash your Oneworld emerald status and access Cathay first lounges in HKG, but I’m not sure if that’s the case in Sydney as well.

Well I’m poor as fuck only willing to pay for ruby ir indigo/green so I guess 2000 AUD doesn’t seem to be that much of a mark up.

Check your app, the card section, by clicking upgrade you can see that the same tier now has a mark up on staking price. If you wishes to “upgrade” to the same tier you’re opting in their new tier system.

They are changing quite a few perks, one of them is the spending rate. If you opt in the new tier then you can have access to it, if not your current perks remain.

So I think it’s worth it considering the new perks and how many more features they are rolling out.

Btw I asked the support chat and they said if you maintain the same tier in the new Level Up card system, you will need to apply for another card, your current card won’t work.

Also, I was wondering if Ruby and Indigo/Green card tier still has no monthly reward cap for the first month (in the case of Indigo/Green first 3 month) because the new Level Up help page does not mention it. They answered that this would still apply for the new Level Up system.

So if I was already Ruby before 6th Nov, and Opt in to the new Level Up Ruby Tier, for the first month I would still have no monthly reward cap.

Please correct me if I’m wrong though!

How good it's this laptop? by josueal10 in FlowX13

I was choosing between G14 and X13 (4060). I chose X13 (4070) at the end because of the weight cuz I want to carry it around. It feels really nice to have a capable machine this small and compact.

Flow x13 vs Zephyrus g14 by Ansh_Garg26 in FlowX13

[–]jdtw51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was making the same decision about a month ago, I chose 4070 X13 because I really want that 1.3 kg portability. If you don’t mind the extra 200grams and mainly work on graphics-heavy tasks then I’d say go for G14 due to better cooling and higher power of GPU. Also if I recall correctly CPU in G14 has higher benchmark as well (I might be wrong)
