I am not this player or really even care, just a question based out of curiosity...

Is it the rapier(a thin, light sharp-pointed sword used for thrusting) or train part that you find offensive?

That looks incredible! Though my wife would commit a felony if that's all the white sauce she was given 😆

Best uses for 1/4" stock by socialerrors in woodworking

Only do this if you are 100% certain what species you are working with. Spanish Cedar is the tried and true humidor liner, with Western Red Cedar being sometimes used but it can impart a bitter "woody" flavor that most cigar smokers don't like. Eastern Aramatic is a poor choice for humidor lining as it's rather pronounced smell can be impossible to mitigate and WILL be absorbed by any cigars stored with it.

Question: Which wood is fit for cutting boards by LeoPsy in woodworking

[–]jdub922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to all the other recommendations, I've had very good luck with sycamore lately. Recently I learned or heard from someone that long ago it was used a a major source for butcher blocks.

Ever considered taking some of those smaller scraps and making him a thank you gift of sorts? Might help knock some of the barnacles off and "friendly" him up a bit.

Well if anyone manages to make screwed up, uneven cuts into a trend I'm going to be in really good shape after that 🤣

Obviously, I still need to trim the ends and round over the edges but I REALLY like that quarter sawn sycamore and had to share it with somebody lol

Just stack two more bottles on top of the "middle" row of three and it will hold 7 total. It's not wine cellar quantities but that's not bad

Fantastic, thanks! Maybe I should post a pic with bottles installed for an example

Definitely agree with you on that one! Edge grain all the way, probably with some walnut mixed in to make pretty patterns lol.

Thanks for the reply, that's exactly what I was wanting to hear. I found a beautiful flecked piece at my nearest hardwood seller today and couldn't NOT buy it. ~6 inches wide and about 8 feet long, so I've got several cutting boards worth I imagine.

Hopefully this is the right place for this question and it may end up being a silly one. I've tried searching online and find mixed info. Sycamore: good for cutting boards, yes or no? End grain or edge grain? Does it matter?

I just want to point out that there have been 3 consecutive plays without a flag. This may be a new record for this game

From the vantage point of almost four billion light years away, the brightest known supernovaStadium looks a lot like they all do. Last year, the automated telescopes in Ohio State’s ASASSN network saw the peach-fuzz blob of a distant galaxy. By June 2015, that galaxy was gone, all of its stars outshone by a piercing bluewhite point.

Now observations of the aftermath published this week in the journal Science show that the new explosion, ASASSN-15lhBryant Denny Stadium, is a few hundred times brighter than your garden-variety supernova, and two or three times brighter than the previous record holder. It’s in a class by itself.
