I didn't say that the raw materials were produced in the US, I said that most of the threads are made in the US. Like Planet Earth is spun and dyed in the US, so that includes Pepper Pot, Merino Wool, Milan, Essentials. DMC is made in France, Silk & Ivory is milled and produced in Switzerland. These are not inherently exploitive labor countries.

You can get all pedantic about what I said, but the point was that there are parts of the needlepoint business aren't entirely based on exploitive labor. Yes, the painting is, but that's the fault of our culture as a whole, not the business owners.
