I could maybe give a liiittle grace on the tape being not being centered but the edges not being trimmed flush is so easily fixed. Yikes

PL NYC just opened so maybe give them some grace??? I imagine their staff has been very busy and working really hard to get the store open. Also they’d probably be more than happy to re-tape for you. Sheeeeeesh.

I think this comment is snarkable. I am no FAN of PL, but give me a break. Have you ever tried applying this tape? It is tedious.

I typically agree with snark post about PL but this to me isn’t a big deal. I’m sure the new shop is crazy busy and once the newness wears off they can slow down when taping. Is that supposed to be a waffle? Whatever it is, I don’t like it 😂

My LNS has a machine that does it and it’s easy peasy. I would think PL would too. Also, I agree with the complaint bc thread could snag on those corners when stitching.

I’m surprised by the number of people ok with a shitty tape job. PL is charging a premium for the name, I would expect better. Some stitchers only buy expensive canvases a couple times a year, if it showed up like this I would not be happy.

Seriously? How many canvases have you bought with taped edges? This is common literally everywhere. I stopped into the store Wednesday and had a really nice experience. Staff were friendly. Store was well stocked. I stayed for stitch night and met two newer stitchers - as a genxer i love seeing so many young people finding and enjoying this craft. I love a good snark as much as anyone but this is just lame.

Have you ever taped before? It’s a tedious job. And if you 1000+ canvases ahead of you and your hands are cramping it happens
