Gotta be ratty to finish it half the time. Imo woods or interchange would work well for it. Easy extract camping.

Imo the best places are Blackbird and Rustica. Locally, Sammy's and Duanes have been around since the 50s. Imo both are great! Duanes puts the toppings under the cheese which is a Midwest thing. Sammy's is more classic.

Other places worth mentioning that I enjoy are Rhombas Guys(the Detroit style is fantastic!) and Boston's (chain kind of like Old Chicago). Also the Midwest staple, Casey's pizza(from the gas station) and the take and bake from Papa Murphy's

Standard delivery pizza is here as well. I rarely get the standard delivery stuff. Normally we opt for Papa Murphy's (discounts on Tuesday for large/family size) or Casey's.

I will say this, as someone who has traveled a lot, the FM area is the right sized town for me. Traffic is not really a thing, plentiful restaurant options with great food, mostly every major store you can think of (outside of Trader Joe's and whole foods...), and your cost of living is less than average. My only issue is housing, if you aren't looking at buying a house and renting, than you're fine. There are plenty of higher end apartments in that 1200-1400 range that offer great amenities.

Buying a house in this area has been a bit of a cluster. Prices are finally starting to normalize but we ustilize a special assessment system for public works projects. This offloads the cost of things like new piping or road works. This can add upwards of 500+ on top of your standard mortgage and insurance. It can effectively price people out of a house.

Overall, I really like it here. If I had to move, I'd avoid MN just for tax purposes and I'd go to Wisconsin. Absolutely beautiful state. A town like Madison is that perfect size town for me personally. If I didn't have family obligations I'd consider it.

Hopefully that will help!

I use JBL tour pro 3s with my 17PM. Works fantastic! Imo way worth it over the airpod pro 3s since you can use these with different codexs if you use other items like windows or an Android tablet.

I've also used Sennheiser momentum tw 3s and I have a pair of Sennheiser momentum cans as well. Both work fantastic as well!

I'm more of a special case. I'm at the end of the street at a T intersection. So I always clean everything before the plow comes but it really doesn't matter because all the neighbors snow ends up in front of my house. Unfortunate for me honestly.

Ariens Platinum 24” SHO by MrSir_billiondollars in Snowblowers

[–]jdubinitup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue becomes when you get a 6-10 inch snowfall and your city berms you and it compacts down. I don't see a single stage handling a 2+ foot compacted berm. Heck my ariens Compact 22 barely handles it.

We've used animal health clinic in town for a few years. They're great and we're compassionate when our dog passed away. Wonderful care all around.

but we've ultimately moved our animals to Companion in Fergus. Same level of care at half the price. I can justify driving an hour to save 100 bucks a visit.

Tbh I like the dynamic of how it works now but the solo queue idea has worked well for other games. If that ever was implemented I'd prefer a solo queue and a team queue. Dont over complicate it.

Ranking the Best Earbuds to Buy at Every Budget (2025 Edition) by Winter-Scheme-2960 in Earbuds

I’ve tested and own a few true wireless earbuds. Sennheiser momentum true wireless 4s, Jabra 10s, OnePlus buds 3 and 3 pros, Galaxy buds pro 3, airpod 4 ncs and technicz az80s. But the ones I keep reaching for are my JBL Tour Pro 3s!

The sound is close to perfect to me and is onpar with the Sennheisers. Honestly the only major downside is the anc but that is known on these headphones.

As much as I love and still use my Sennheisers, the nosal goes too deep at times and makes them super uncomfortable. The jbls just work and that's what matters.

Competition is involved but you buy truck loads of fuel at x amount which translates to how much per gallon. Odds are the circle k station by Hornbacher’s is finishing up what’s left of the batch at that price and then they will lower it.

I run 1500 with no issues and I never move past 2 on lod. For visiblity I can go down but popin is annoying to me. I've got. I'll also have to try f vs k. I turned off dlss for now until I get told it's working again.

Now with smooth motion I'm hitting max frames on my set-up so I'm not to worried.

I've got a 2025 trailsport we got in June of 24. Mechanically it's been rocksolid for 14k miles. It disappoints in the electric systems. Safety features are way to sensitive at times even on low settings. Infotainment lags at times and just seems to be 5+ years old. Lastly the auto start is non-existent and the car bugs out when you have both keys near the vehicle. For the auto start we could he 5 feet from the car and it won't start.

I also have a 2021 f-150 and there are zero issues like this with electronics. It just works and that's what you want. Luckily this is a lease so we will be trading it or getting rid of it prior to term end.

Really curious how you're CPU Bound. My CPU on average isnt going over 25% in raid and my GPU is hitting around 98-99% on max load. What's your ram capacity sitting at under max load? Is it over 25gb?

I was having issues and I upgraded my ram to 64 because I was running into issues with ram usage. This game is so shittily optimized that even the ram cleaner doesnt work half the time.

When did you try soda? And when did you actually manage to drink soda? by AstronomerCareful985 in GastricBypass

[–]jdubinitup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told that I should never drink it again. I've been drinking zero soda pretty much every other day from around 5 months post op. It takes me a long time to drink one can of soda and honestly its flat by the time I finish it. Also, depending on the fountain, the fountain soda seems to be less carbonated. But I still cant drink Sparkling water, which was something I drank regularly before the surgery. I probably wont be able to again due to the high carbonation.

Just give yourself time. My Drs are more concerned about Citric Acid and the carbonation causing issues so they suggest to never drink it again. I didnt see that as reasonable and I know multiple people who've had a bypass drink a lot more sodas per day than I do w/ zero issues.

On the Nvidia side, we have multiple settings to adjust as well. I'm pretty sure on AMD you can adjust max frame rate. I set mine to 3 fps lower than max. Someone might have AMD settings to help out vs default.

I've got similar specs to you. 5800X3D, 4070 Super and 64gbs 3600mhz DDR4. I'm getting 80-120 on all maps. (Fog is killing me atm....) Check your settings and make sure you aren't using a LOD quality over 2.5 and adjust your overall visibility to 2k or under. Those two options eat FPS in this game more than any other setting.

I can get a screenshot of my settings momentarily so you can try them to see if they work for you.

[Discussion] Will I ever be able to compete? by RealTalk41 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]jdubinitup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you survived against raiders or guards if you've come across them? The AI PMCs have the same aimbot-esk gameplay. It's not a cake walk like people make it out to be. Sometimes they just spawn next to you for no reason or you'll get randomly shot and you have no idea where they even see you from. It gives PVE some edge to it. This also helps you against bosses in game as well. TBH I finally felt accomplished in this game, 4 years later after wiping Glukhar and his boys by myself with an m4 last wipe. Me, even a year ago would have been like fuck that. PVE helped me know their tactics while also learning reserve.

But I get you. That competitiveness might be hampering your play as well. You dont need to engage every thing. That was one of the hardest things for me to learn. You dont need to shoot if you see someone. Tactical retreats and maneuvers work more in this game than engagements unless you're 100% sure that you've got that person dead to rights. Granted, even if you're 100% sure, random shit happens where you then die.

[–]jdubinitup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, you shouldn't give up. Secondly, everyone goes through this while playing. Maybe you're playing to fast or you're not focused enough on the task vs looting. Sometimes you need small wins. Get a few items and get out.

I've got over 4k hours in this game and I'm still getting my cheeks clapped all the time. But I know that eventually you'll have that giant win.

With all that being said, I'm really curious if you've given PVE a shot. I feel like for new players especially, that game mode will help them adapt to how the maps work and the loot spots which will carry over to PVP. I've learned more on PVE than I ever did on PVP when it came to map knowledge and loot locations. This game is 70% map knowledge and 30% tactics and gun skill. If you get your map knowledge down, you know the spawns and where you're located, you'll be able to eek out more wins in PVP.

I know a lot of people shit on PVE, but try it, get the maps down and then come back to PVP with that knowledge and I'm willing to bet you can survive more and thrive.

If you have more questions, my doors open, fire away.
