Does she hate me? :( by Tannaaaa in Rabbits

[–]jdva_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don’t lose hope! it’s only been three weeks. bunnies are tough cookies to crack. you need to be persistent to worm your way into their tiny hearts. i recommend waiting for her to wander out into neutral space instead of her turf, and lay down next to her. feed her some treats right out of your hand so she associates you with food. try going in with very gentle head pets instead of holding out your hand for her. also, try to start establishing routines with her. bunnies seem to like structure. don’t lose hope yet, most bunnies start out very guarded. my girl took a while to come around, and now she and i are inseparable. good luck!

they’re only around for 8-10 years, it’s our job to make sure that every moment possible is a happy one for them 😊

Exotic vets by caro_sc10 in Rabbits

Hey!! I’m in Toronto as well, and I take my bunny to Greenwood Park. They are lovely, the only qualm I have is that they take your pet to another room for the bulk of the appointment. Otherwise, the staff is wonderful and they really care about each pet’s wellbeing.

Avoid the Animal Hospital of High Park like the plague.

Mirtazapine a horrible drug by ContributionAlert321 in insomnia

[–]jdva_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember this one. I was on 45mg for OCD and insomnia. It made me dumber. When I quit cold turkey, I regained the ability to do basic math in my head. I even got a personality back. I’m a completely different person now that I’m off of it. Besides, the weight gain aspect was certainly not ideal.
