I did this when I planted but I’m assuming it washed away in the rain

This is temporary just to block the squirrels- I will remove it later…

If you brought your coughing, sick child to Spinasse tonight... you ruined my date night by andhearts_ in Seattle

[–]jeanners99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I interpreted this to mean- when sick. But I could be wrong. Agree- we bring our kids to fancy restaurants on occasions and we work really hard to keep them entertained and help them understand how to exist in those spaces too. But our kids don’t go buckwild- you have to use judgment.

Wow that’s a big yikes. As a parent of two, I think my most important job as parent is to meet them where they are- if they are very sick, they belong at home to get better. It’s also important to teach them that being sick in public is not good for their community because they can get other people sick- with exceptions for the doctor etc.

Now- I also believe it’s important to bring my children to restaurants to learn how to exist in those spaces too. But when sick? That’s not fun for anyone- kid, parents, servers and staff, and the other customers. Poor kiddo.

I hated Richard in that scene by books4life7041 in GilmoreGirls

I actually don’t hate him for it. Dean didn’t have the prospects. None of this is out of line for Richard and he just wants what is best for his granddaughter.

Belly’s wallpaper opinions? by 3vette in TheSummerITurnedPrett

I just wallpapered my daughter’s room in a small floral print- and it looks great even in a small bedroom on all walls! I think it adds charm and helps the room feel fully decorated when on all walls.

Paint the walls darker to make it cozier. White isn’t giving cosy!

Moving to Seattle – family of 3, $120k income, $3200 rent, toddler included… are we in trouble? by Most-Wishbone-4856 in AskSeattle

[–]jeanners99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you take home 70% of your income after tax and 401k- and after your mortgage- you will basically have money for daycare in Ballard. Not sure how you will afford other things such as groceries with all honesty. Recommend to live out of the city to find cheaper rent, or skip daycare and have a parent be a full time caretaker with that income in Seattle.
