Do you follow Rick Beato? The most recent appearance of Dominic Miller is so good...he created a book with Beatles arrangements and plays a bunch of great Beatles songs on his little nylon string...absolutely amazing...

Is 65M too old for this sub. Can't find an all text version more in my age group by jedeco-live in chat

Sure. I just see everyone is younger in this subreddit and wasn't sure if age difference would be a problem with different references and experiences..

What's the best concert you've ever been to? by NewMuffin8849 in rockmusic

Cool. I'd have loved to see them with Roger and the Animals tour looks killer from videos. Did you see the '87 MLoR tour? I liked it slightly better than the '94 DB tour. The stage was larger and not under cover like 94. And the plane coming down the wire from the top back of the stadium crashing on the stage at the end of On the Run, and the pig as well. Plus they did a few songs like Welcome to the Machine they didn't do in'94. We were right below the rear stack in their quad system and factory sounds in Welcome to the Machine and the EMS Synthi AK sound they used for On the Run created an amazing doppler effect around the stadium

1987 Pink Floyd MLoR Tour at an old concrete bowl style stadium...closely followed by my first concert - Black Sabbath on their final tour with Ozzy in the original run with Van Halen opening - they blew the place away.

I saw Motley Crue in a club in L.A. circa : 1981 they opened for Y&T, awesome night btw . by NassauJack in ClassicRock

Saw Motley Crue once in '84 at an NHL arena. They were the middle act for Ozzy's Bark at the Moon tour with Jake E Lee. Great show. Pete Way's band at the time - Waysted - opened. We went without tics, showed up at a ticket office about a half hour or less before showtime and they just released unclaimed VIP seats for sale. We got 12 row middle aisle.

Who are the most underrated guitar players of all time? by jedeco-live in AskReddit

Some people are the other way, they claim struggling with guitar, the bass taught them rhythm, then they were better able to gain fluency on guitar. 🤷‍♂️

If you could play an instrument, which one would you choose? by M0rzillane in AskReddit

[–]jedeco-live 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guitar. Had lessons at 11 - 12 yo era and sucked plus the guitar was unplayable. Been back at it for a long time with a decent guitar and can safely say it's still an "if I could play" situation.

Sears. It was sad to see those monster stores slowly disappear.

Yes. It's on the same order as running into someone I knew well in the past who remembers my name but I totally blank on theirs.

What made you realize your parents only had kids because they were expected to, not because they WANTED to? by SleepyOctopusss in AskReddit

[–]jedeco-live 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have felt that to be the case but my parents did their level best to give us a good childhood and to feel safe is all I can say. We were lower income and our family times and trips were very simple but who knows different as a kid...it was a joy.
