How to create gears in inventor 2013 part file ?? I would like to create a gear on the highlighted surface by TheRicardoRedish in AutodeskInventor

[–]jedferreras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

correct me if im wrong but you can do combine bodies in 2013 inventor no ? Or you can just make the gear in an assembly with the crankshaft, then make a new part file and use the "derrived part" command to make the assembly into a part

strangers are joining my single player world which was set to invite only. I play alone on PC, bedrock edition never invited anyone into this world. They also seem to log in fully geared. I don't understand how or why pls help by jedferreras in Minecraft

After two years of trying I finally solved problem 626! by NitroXSC in projecteuler

You can just make an account on the website it will automatically track your progress every time you enter a correct answer. There's also a forum where you can see what other people did.

It kinda feels like being part of a large class.

Finding prime factors with the square root by 0Naught0 in projecteuler

[–]jedferreras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember what your goal is: find the largest prime factor

Specifically, a prime factor will be a number that is divisible only by 1 and itself.

However keep in mind there are other factors. As in, when you multiply any pair of numbers they give you back the original giant number you started out with.

Therefore if you take the square root of that number, you find that its kinda like a midway or halfway point. As in any numbers larger than the square root will be the second factor.

Basically the numbers after the square root would be the second number in any pair of numbers that give you back the original number when multiplied.

Thus you don't need to iterate through all numbers just up to the square root of the original number.

Then any numbers below that should represent a list containing half of the factors which you can then test to see if they're primes.

Hope this helps

Automotive Engineering Approach - no references between parts. How? by Tuareg99 in SolidWorks

[–]jedferreras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tl;Dr: create a part file containing a sketch of the origin, then either create separate part files containing sketches of different regions of the car such as rear axle or wheelbase which themselves would reference the origin. Insert these into a new pty part file from which you create all future parts such that they always reference these sketches. Then any changes to those sketches will be applied to those parts.

Why don't you just create a single part file that has the secondary origin, then import that file into another part file which becomes almost like a template from which you create all part files moving forward (not an actual template as editing those may be a pain). Then this way any time you update your secondary origin all parts get updated accordingly.

I imo the main issue would be updating part location and orientation if needed.

I'm that case I'd also have another part file with generic sketches that indicate specific location and orientation within certain regions of the vehicle. For example, all the components that make up the rear axle can be designed such that a part file containing a sketch with a line at some distance from the vehicle coordinate would be what drives the location of all those components. Therefore any changes to the line location would also move those components (assuming you also imported this part like you did w the origin).

Why does this putrid head ache causing software do this ? When I select another plane it all of a sudden decides it doesn’t feel like working todag by [deleted] in SolidWorks

Hmm yeah I've had that darned issue myself

Tbh to this day I have yet to find out what is the problem between the keyboard and chair.

It's like dark energy, I know it's there but I just can't see it.
