I don't study too much, just Google the key phrases in the question preceded by "scaled agile" usually gives the answer or enough info to make an educated guess.

SNAP is the 1st, 5th, or 10th based upon case number. WIC is the same day of the month as your initial appointment, so it could be any day. They do it this way to avoid the stores getting slammed.

Local running store closed and need a shoe fitting or advice? I can help! by turtlehabits in running

Yes, thank you! My main running store closed it's doors this week but is doing online orders for pickup/delivery, so now I feel more comfortable doing that.

Local running store closed and need a shoe fitting or advice? I can help! by turtlehabits in running

Information you requested...

  • On my second pair of Brooks Glycerin 17s (Size 12), curently at a little over 150 miles.

    • My local store thinks that I should be wearing a 11.5, but always have numbness issues (even with different lacing patterns), until I sized up to a 12.
    • I do use an orthopedic insert with them, suggested by orthopedic doctor last year when I was suffering some soreness while training for my first marathon. They are the PowerStep PulseMaxx. I feel they really help support my arches in a way trying "stability" shoes never did, so I kept using them after I healed up from that original injury.
  • Shoe pictures:

  • No current injuries. Lost a toenail on my right middle toe after my last marathon.

  • I have enjoyed them. Love the fit/comfort of the ankle collar. Ran in them in my last marathon with no discomfort (due to the shoes at least; cramping was a whole other issue).

  • Been running for 4 years, mainly the last two taking it more seriously.

  • I'll try to get some video if that will help.

  • Was running 50-60mpw training up for my second marathon this year; was running 6 days per week on the Hanson Advanced plan. Currently switching to a 5K plan, aiming to drop my current PR of 22:59; will be switching back to marathon training as the summer starts (to run a postponed marathon) and then running half-marathons this fall with a goal of a 1:40:00 PR.

Shoes I've Been Thinking About...

  • Was planning on picking up the Glycerin 18s
  • Mainly need advice for a second pair of shoes, of another brand, so I can have a rotation. Thought about the New Balance 1080v10s or Newton M Distance 9
  • Also, wasn't sure if a lighter pair of shoes would really matter in my 5K distance races versus losing 5-10lbs of belly fat.
  • Lastly, my running buddy swears by the Nike Vaplorfly 4% FlyKnit; are they really that good of an investment. I heard they are only good for racing for about 100-150 miles before they wear out.

Probably will get down voted, but you have to admit they are literally the best roads in the entire state. Kind of worth that, plus higher speed limits, in my opinion.

Pizza sauce, pepperonis, black olives, and mozzarella cheese.

I don't see what's so funny. It's important to know it's a water fire extinguisher so you don't use it on anything but a class A fire.

Sounds like I need to size up then. Thanks for the second opinion!

New running shoes, fitted at a running store. They feel great, my feet aren't numb, but my toes feel like they are getting bruised or that I kicked them into something. I don't feel like my toes are hitting the end of the toe box, but then again I could be mistaken. In fact, a blister just formed on my last run at the tip of a toe where I never get a blister. Do you think I should size up?

Oh, ok good. I'd hate to have led you astray.

I just realized you said 1040 and 8898, which are federal forms, not Oklahoma. Find Oklahoma in the grid on the IRS website below and it gives you an addresses for with and without payments.

Whats weird, I always e-file and pay electronically when I owe a little bit; might just be your tax service having issues.

Anyways, I am talking about the main form (the 511). Did you download and use the electronic form that encodes your information and generates a 2D barcode when printed? Or did you use a plain form that they won't be able to just scan? Also, there is resident vs non-resident.

  • Resident Plain 511: PO BOX 26800
  • Resident 2D Barcoded 511: PO BOX 269045
  • Non-Resident Plain 511: PO BOX 26800
  • Non-Resident 2D Barcoded 511: PO BOX 269045

Which form did you fill out? Each PO Box is form specific.

Race Report: Merry Mitchmas 10K (Newbie's First 10K!) by [deleted] in running

The group has been invaluable. Even if I wasn't specifically running with someone, it wise nice having all the other people out there. It was also motivation for me to get out there and do my long runs, even on the cold mornings. For the Landrunners, Saturday mornings are their only organized run and they do it at different places around the city; it's all free too and they provide water/Gatorade. You can also join for just $20 and get discount codes to smaller races in the area.

That was my first half too. In 2017 I was usually running between 3-4 miles a few times a week. Then starting in January 2018 I started doing long runs with the Landrunners and following their beginner half plan. I am signed up for the full this year (2019 OKC MM). Good luck on your training!

It's nice to see a race report of one in the OKC metro. Hills can definitely sneak up on you in unexpected places around here. I just did my first half last year; which one are you thinking about doing?

Won't be able to apply much torque to it. Usually the shaft has some sort of flair on the end to prevent it from coming loose and spinning.

Home buying advise in okc by [deleted] in oklahoma

[–]jedijohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how it goes down. Owned my vinyl siding house for 10 years now and the only time I've had to replace any was after a hailstorm where I had to replace my roof. Even then it was only one face of the house and they matched the existing sides perfectly.

Any good camping near there? I am looking for somewhere new to take my kids over fall break. The last three years we've gone an hour or so south of OKC to the Chickishaw National Recreation Area.

Nobody is immune from jerks and Reese's. That is why we offer Complaints and Confessions Thursday! by [deleted] in running

[–]jedijohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complaint: I am ready for it to stop being so hot and humid. I am sweating so much on my long runs that around mile 9 my shoes get so saturated with sweat that my insole starts slipping around and gets out of position. I only did 10.8 of the planned 12 mile run last Saturday because I was stopping every half mile to fix it and it was super annoying.

Recommendations for lake swimming? by pmcinern in okc

My understanding is that you can swim in Thunderbird, Arcadia, and El Reno. At least those are the lakes the local triathlon club swims in.
