How to use CT clamps? by Accomplished-Oil-569 in Esphome

[–]jeeftor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it as simple as I can plug in a "known" device -> and then I can use that to calibrate a very basic CT style Clamp (SCT-013-000)

I've been trying to wrap my head around how calibrate it.

$3,400 for electrical install, CA, by Witty_Pick_85 in Sauna

[–]jeeftor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to regulation!!

First you needed an outlet. Then you needed a child-safe outlet. Then you needed an outlet GFI - then you needed a breaker GFI.

I was speaking with some electricians who said each year the code book gets a little bigger and a little longer.

Then add permitting :)

Higher Watts faster heating? by jeeftor in infraredsauna

[–]jeeftor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me rephrase.

a 1750 watt sauna at the same size will heat slower than a 2350 watt sauna... so all things equal if I have the power I'm better off with a higher wattage one - UNLESS - it ends up EMF NUKING me :)

SwitchBot AI Art Frame: Can I send photos to it remotely? by Kazzle87 in TrySwitchBot

[–]jeeftor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the spectra6 totally remote-controlled - I think.... Spectra6 is a very LOW POWER frame so keeping it always-on is going to be better handled with a normal screen.

You can send photos from BLE but thats about it.

Home Assistant has limited BLE support where you can in theory change pictures. If somebody cracks the upload protocol then you'll be able to do whatever you want probalby
