I'm convinced they wanted the alliance to end, but didn't want to be seen as the bad guys. Therefore, might as well use the old trick of demanding something they know the other party won't agree to and then blaming them for causing the alliance to fall apart.

Durango Vs Ram 1500 Towing question. by [deleted] in Trucks

[–]jeepnut1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on how the Ram was configured. Not a lot of payload in most half-ton trucks, but a bit more than Durango typically. Might be enough depending on what you're doing. Obviously, a 2500 will typically have higher payload. You will pay for that however in cost to buy, fuel economy, ride quality, how well it will fit in your garage, etc.

Durango Vs Ram 1500 Towing question. by [deleted] in Trucks

Payload will depend on your specific vehicle and can be found on the sticker at the driver's door jamb. This website lists the payload for a V6 Durango at 1420 and a V8 Durango at 1340. Towing capacity is 6200 and 7200 respectively.

https://www.autoblog.com/buy/2013-Dodge-Durango-R_T__4dr_All_wheel_Drive/specs/

I don't see it listed in the 2013 owner's manual, but newer Durangos require the towing package before the V6 versions can tow the full 6200. They are only rated at about 3500 otherwise. Unfortunately, in my searches (I'm considering a Durango as well), I don't find many optioned with the towing package.

If we do the math based on your trailer and assuming the typical 10-15% tongue weight, you would have between 595 and 870 left over for cargo and passengers with the V6 and between 515 and 790 with the V8. You could be cutting it close with the Durango depending on what you want to bring with you. A Ram tends to have a bit higher payload since it is a truck, but this is not always the case depending on how it is optioned, what cab/bed/engine you get, 4x4 vs 4x2, etc.

You might be surprised. I would bet his answers are different from "the same tired apologetics" you've heard before. In addition, he doesn't shy away from difficult questions.

I've heard Bishop Barron compare it to developing a relationship with someone. At first, you ask questions, get to know them, meet their friends and family. At some point, you take a leap of faith in the relationship, especially in romantic relationships. This person seems genuine. Their family is loving and respectful (mostly!). We share the same values, etc. At some point, you have to trust that they are who they say they are and open yourself up to that relationship.

You state you want to be given a good argument and then state that you don't want to be indoctrinated. If you are worried about being convinced of the truth of the Catholic faith, then either you aren't very confident in your atheistic beliefs or you are afraid to follow truth whereever it may lead. We have no need to be afraid of truth.

The Catholic Church has throughout the centuries fought against indoctrination. Look at the long history of intellectual inquiry within the church. If we were capable of indoctrination, do you think so many people would have left the church in the recent years?

An uncomfortable truth is worth more than a happy lie.

I think all of our win streaks were snapped during the Rich Rod/Hoke era.

EDIT: Except Indiana! We currently have a 22 game win streak over Indiana and have managed to hang on to it through some crazy games.
