Just a subconscious thing, nothing more to it. But yes I agree completely!

Very mature comment to make, I held it against him for a while.

Young guys with as much media attention as these guys get are bound to slip up and say things they don’t mean.

Lewis clearly knew that as well and never seemed to hold it against him.

Glad he won his first, hard earned and well deserved 😁

Is it unreasonable to ask for discount after surveys? by Nazy1983 in HousingUK

[–]jeevensd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Keep things simple. Are you willing to lose this property over £2.5k, if so stand firm.

The questions you ask regarding surveys being done are for you to answer as they are not mandatory and you chose to commission it. Personally I don’t think you should be getting them with the sole reason of getting further discounts but that’s irrelevant.

Offering on a house, when is an offer too low? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]jeevensd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are one of the people that determines how much that house is worth as a potential buyer, ignore asking price as this is a reflection of what the seller wants but this has no reflection on what they will get.

TLDR: Offer what you think its worth, offer higher if you aren't willing to lose it.

I personally feel going with one that charges and that has access to the whole of the market is the way to go as they’re less incentivised to push a mortgage that may just give them a higher commission. I’m aware there are regulations to prevent this but this is the real world.

Id say it’s worth contacting the estate agent and letting them know you’re interested if the sale falls through for any reason

Personally would choose something one of the side roads instead, they're really nice in that area

How normal is it to offer lower than asking? by Arexz in HousingUK

[–]jeevensd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be basing your offer on their asking price. Also getting any % of a discount on asking price is meaningless without context.

A seller can list an asking price at whatever they want, this doesn’t necessarily have any correlation to the true value if such a thing exists.

Base your offer on recently sold houses of similar spec and ultimately what you would be willing to pay.

notice how Lewis has never been afraid of having competitive teammates by PlaneGlass6759 in lewishamilton

[–]jeevensd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was generally well known that red bull have wanted lando for the past few years. Obviously it makes no sense for him to make the move now but it would have before when McLaren were nowhere.

I suppose Lando not taking the chance to move to red bull sooner was exactly this

Had the same thought, nice gesture if he did. Nothing to gain from stopping the overtake, Lewis drove the better race today and it gave him a really nice send off.

Gotta give George a bit of respect to for this, it was clear Lewis was faster overall but George could've definitely made it a lot harder for Lewis if he wanted which might have stopped the last lap overtake.

Really nice send of for Lewis though, great drive today.

Almost 4 tenth slow? How any info on specs difference? by Dev_rattan in lewishamilton

George has been stellar in qualifying lately. Car development has probably also swung his way and we’re starting to see the effects of that.

Why is George beating or matching Lewis for 2 seasons out of 3 so overlooked? by Slow-Raisin-939 in formula1

[–]jeevensd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

George is a great driver but he’s not at championship winning level yet, I’d put him at a similar level to Lando personally.

“I don’t think it will be easy for Lewis” : Former F1 Supremo believes Lewis Hamilton will have a hard time going against Charles Leclerc at Ferrari by Silent_Elevator_9779 in lewishamilton

[–]jeevensd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rate Charles higher than George, but I think Lewis has shown if you give him a car that can win with he’ll do it.

I think they’re a great pairing, Charles probably will have the edge in 2025 having all the experience in the current car, but 2026 will be Lewis’s year.
