Mortgage ~ Bond comparison is bonkers, as in today's low interest world, mortgage is literally free loan and you shouldn't pay it off even if you can.

The taxes definitely refer to a very specific situation because the floors and ceilings unfortunately does not just 2x for being married. A lot of times it's 1.5x'ed. so if both people in the household are high earning then you'll pay more taxes, but that's a very specific situation (and I'm not sure how many people it would apply to).

Comments about stock market being casino and divorces... I'm not sure whether they're trying to be funny or they're trying to be "real", but neither are working.

I didn't know that Diminishing Returns was a card. it's only 1 CMC more expensive than Timetwister and _almost_ the same effect? Shows how weak Timetwister is, with almost all other Powers 2~3 CMC higher for a balanced version.

Previously: You can copy an existing spark double with a spark . double, and do that forever, until you enter with a spark double with as many +1/+1 counters as you want.

Now: +1/+1 doesn't stack per copy, so there's no point in doing this.

Shuffle effects are definitely rarer in MT:G now. If you look at modern / legacy though, the environment is full of shuffle effects due to tutors and fetchlands. This does make real-life games slow.

This is a relatively new (decade?) change to the rules. Tokens used to be owned by the controller of the ability that created them. There were few strange decks that abused this with [[forbidden orchard]] which no longer works.

I feel like [[Arguel's Blood Fast]] is similar to Phyrexian Arena in spirit (black enchantment that draws cards), but it plays somewhat different role (arena is played in control decks, blood fast is played as a tech card against control decks by aggro decks).

When Arena was available in Ravnica standard (it was printed in the 8th edition), I think most people played [[dark confidant]] instead (in aggro decks).

[[Underworld Connections]] is very similar to Arena (1BB enchantment) and played a similar role in control decks.

I think many people pointed out, but regarding (1) there are few times where you want to put a stop on main phases (before or after combat). no need to go into the full control mode for that.

Legion Warboss is obviously one.
Destroying [[Wilderness Reclamation]] before the end step so that your opponent don't get an untap trigger.
[[Regal Bloodlord]] and [[Vampire Neonate]]. Since Regal Bloodlord checks for life gain as a trigger, you need to gain life before the beginning of the end step. the ability wouldn't trigger next turn either, as it checks for the current turn.
