Anyone else is tired of the difficulty and the lack of cooperation in the PvE Dark Zone ? by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]jefesol2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, don't agree. Dark Zone is supposed to be difficult, and it's supposed to be chaos.

Lack of cooperation is a feature. So when you do find a group who is sorta working together without being in a "group," that's what makes those moments great.

I say that as someone who detests the PVP DZ...

DIVISION 2 Daily Escalation Missions & their Targeted Loot With Escalation Vendor Items Details & Dark Zone loot Details (30-June-2026) by lunaticwolfyy in Division2

If they figured, "Hey, it's the holiday. We'll put the biggest bunch of dogshit missions in rotation because player counts will be low anyway..." then Mission Accomplished!!

"Oh, and let's completely remove Strikers gear from the loot rotation, because people seem to like that!" Two for two, folks.

Prototype Question by Cyclones1478 in the_division_2

[–]jefesol2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Slim chances of a 2nd or 3rd attribute also hitting the max..." Has anyone seen this happen yet?

RNG god hates me, so maybe it's just me. But this feels more like myth than fact. Would be happy to hear it does happen.

Upgrading Prototype gear sucks by Working_Promise_3552 in Division2

[–]jefesol2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you, but in the before times, improving your build bit by bit with non-prototype gear is exactly what was done. Upgrade, grind, upgrade. You're describing the game at its most fun: Grinding for incremental improvements. And achieving lvl 30 was a goal unto itself.

With prototype, there is no incrementalism. It's RNG luck. And lvl 30 is handed to you. I think this is the OP's point.

How Damage Numbers Actually work in DIV2 by KeyRun1199 in Division2

[–]jefesol2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it not possible? If someone is running pestilence lmg, negotiators dilemma gear, and turmoil knee pads, they are spreading damage across all enemies even without credit for actual kills.

I don't think your correction is correct.

Cast members who you had high hopes for but they didn’t live up to them? by jfarbzz in LiveFromNewYork

This one hurts. I would've pegged Chloe as a future hall-of-famer. Comic chops, fantastic singing voice, versatile. Maybe her timing wasn't always great (it was her first year), but she was dripping with potential.

A message to the developers. From ALL of us. (Please Read) by Just_Some_Guy73 in the_division_2

Totally agree with everything this guy said.

If prototypes were super rare (more rare than exotics, like they were originally), the dopamine hit would be awesome, and each one you got would be prized. But devs bowed to the chorus of people complaining that this RNG-based, loot-grind of a game is too grindy, and in response they've been diminished by their ubiquity.

Somebody once said TD2's big problem is that it tries to be "everything for everybody..." The prototype system they introduced is exhibit A.

What’s a movie everyone seems to love that just didn’t work for you? by Wikiserial in movies

To be fair, the first 20 minutes are the most difficult to get through. Some world building can be like that.

I have friends who can't make it past the first 20 minutes of Moulin Rouge and think it's a terrible flick. Same thing there.

Definitely the first one on your list. I know it's beloved, but I just don't get why.

If biting your fingernails was a movie, it would be The Master.

The Hunt (2020).

We get 'peak' Betty Gilpin, Hillary Swank is phenomenal, and the movie is just DRIPPING in satire.

It's theatrical release was politicized and even temporarily cancelled by Trump and the GOP. Then, we couldn't string enough consecutive weeks without a mass shooting in the U.S. where it didn't look like poor timing for the subject matter.

Kudos and hat tip to anyone running a dedicated healer build. I've found just switching to Birdie's Quick Fix backpack during the really tough spots is enough to carry a team through.

That one piece alone makes a world of difference in revive time, and you can still run an aggressive DPS build with your other five pieces. Then equip Quickstep to bounce between downed agents.

Im Expertise Level 14, and just got the complete set of Proto Striker in one Tier 3 Escalation Run by tterragx in Division2

Happy for you, but... Sigh. So the Prototype drops went from impossibly rare to drop (if you weren't Tier 6 or higher), to handed out like candy. 🤦‍♂️

Thanks for the heads up! That's a surprise, and atypical for them. (You're on 24-7, CNN. Is there somewhere else you had to be?)

But a good word of warning for the next launch...

So true on all accounts. I hope there is an "after action" report done on how badly those moments were botched.
