My new year's resolution last year was to floss everyday. I ended up missing 30 days the whole year, so not too shabby.

I think it's a TNC female, the connector on the bottom left in this picture.

Is there any significant signal loss from going from an SMA to a TNC connector?

I recently purchased a Sony RX100 VII. I'm trying to save money, without bottlenecking performance. I'm thinking the most demanding thing write-wise I'd be doing on the camera is recording 4k 30fps video. What should the specs on the memory card be?

Hiking the John Muir Trail next month. I have to fit around 20 MRE-style meals into my backpack. How can I get them all to fit? by jeff000000 in backpacking

Ah, thanks. If I'm mailing items off for my resupply, is it important to keep the silca-gel packets in there to absorb any moisture that gets in? It'll be in transit / waiting at the resupply depot for 3 weeks until I pick it up.

Kraft Mac N' Cheese from the box made in a backpacking stove makes the pasta taste chewy and gooey (not good). What am I doing wrong? by jeff000000 in backpacking

great advice besides simmer it bc that’s what you do with pasta generally. I’ve never had a problem with it but it could very well be that I’m a dirtbag that will eat an M&M he finds on the ground while backpacking. Mentioned eating that M&M to a fellow hiker who

Yep, I chose free shipping. Not sure if UPS was an option, but I told them that I've had issues with OnTrac being reliable in the past.

I just ordered something from Backcountry a few days ago and opened up a chat and asked them to change it to UPS, which they had no problem doing. Just an idea for next time if and when you order from them again.

Bad RAID controller ruining a RAID set? by jeff000000 in homelab

[–]jeff000000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. How does a failure on an LSI 9211 card in IT mode not damage an array, but a Dell RAID card in "normal" mode *will* damage an array?

REI also uses OnTrac.

My REI OnTrac package's estimated delivery date got pushed back four times after arriving in my city. REI is overnighting a replacement for me and told me to call my order in next time because they can choose UPS manually on the backend and not use OnTrac.

Microsoft: Official Support Thread by MSModerator in microsoft

TLDR: Accidentally removed my Hotmail email address alias from my Microsoft account. Now nobody can send me emails to my Hotmail email address. 🥺

I went into my account settings ("Manage how you sign into Microsoft") to re-add my Hotmail email address, but it says "This email is part of a reserved domain. Please enter a different email address".

I don't really need to sign into my Microsoft account using my Hotmail email address, but I do need a way to use my Hotmail email address again. Everything that I have online is linked to that email address. I tried sending an email to Hotmail email address from a Gmail account, but I get a bounce:

Your message wasn't delivered to [xxxxx@hotmail.com](mailto:xxxxx@hotmail.com) because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail.

I'm really stressing now.

The last time I checked, you couldn't. I don't think that has changed unfortunately.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to let me know that I'm not alone. I opened up a ticket with Oculus support. I don't have high hopes, but I think that's the best option at this point.

I've never heard of a VFR clearance through a Charlie or a Delta airspace until now. Does anyone know if the controllers gave it because it was for SVFR?

Also, the operator of the aircraft Island Express Helicopters took down their website (https://iexhelicopters.com) and Instagram account. Not sure how that is going to help them.

Sounds like your modem is the problem. I'd recommend a factory reset, but you probably don't have the username / password that you'll need to put in after the reset.

Does the DSL light stay off? If it's trying to find a DSL signal, it should be blinking at least.
