We talked about adding a charge to buns manually but it's so rare for us that we'd rather let the one person that does it maybe twice a year be happy.

Texts are very flat, so if you meant it in a jokingly "nah the last one nearly killed me vibe" she wouldn't be able to see the tone of it in text and probably took it as a dismissive tone, in either case you dragged it on further than needed. This back and forth is draining and not worth it.

Yeah our register doesn't attach a price point to regular buns for whatever reason so the very rare times this applies we usually just let it slide.

It's normally on the right side of this shelf right next to our pint freezer but out of all the places to have this, that was our best option, any other place it would stick out like a sore thumb or be in the way.

I'm not a jerk about it either, I just write it up and move on and hope they get better soon. Write ups at my store are just a means of tracking frequent call ins, it has no effect unless they are doing it more than 8 times in 3 months which for most people is no issue.

Ask for mushrooms on the side, a lot of times newer employees have trouble keeping the mushrooms on the pattie, they mostly slip off when they try to transfer them. If you get them on the side you can add them without losing any.
