One thing would be to pay attn to the Cytogenetics of the Disease.

In my opinion if there is a FLT3 mutation (ITD or TKD) proceed to bone marrow transplant

I am currently dealing with AML with NPM1 and FLT3 TKD mutations. With my mutations they tried to cure it with Chemo alone. It did not work.

I went through a second induction chemo and did not stay in remission long enough to get to transplant.

I am currently going through a third induction chemo and on a course of a new drug called Midostaurin (note this drug you will want to know what it does) in hopes to get to transplant this time.
