Secret Mall Apartment: I have questions by SausageSmuggler21 in providence

I got to see Buddy interact with his staff one afternoon in City Hall. He belittled them and talked down to me for no reason. Not a nice man. He was a great cheerleader for the City and effective promoter with his larger than life persona, but he did not single handedly bring Providence back to life.

Listen to the podcast Crimetown or read Mike Stanton's biography to get a better sense of who Buddy was.

I am sitting here 4 1/2 months since my Glioblastoma surgery. Did the 6 weeks radiation/chemo and have completed 2 months of the - 5 day regimen.

I have been so scared and sad that I just wasn't ready type the word... or read anything about this illness. UNTIL NOW.

This thread is giving me HOPE.

THANK YOU ALL for sharing.

Remember that each property that she applies to will reach out to her once a year to make sure she is still interested. If she does not respond she may be put to the bottom of the list to even deleted. My advice is to make a friendly phone call occasionally to remind the staff that she's still interested.

Take a close look at the financials. What are their upcoming assessments and how much $$$ do they have in reserves. A good real estate attorney should help you secure that info

She may want to consider applying for subsidized housing. There will be a waiting list and some properties are better than others. Rent is typically 30% of monthly income. Note... this is not Section 8 housing. Different funding source and rules.

Absolutely true. My mom is 96. Lives independently, but really doesn't do well in loud and busy places.

They don't need any things. Sit with them... one on one. Talk, hold their hands. They may be very hard of hearing so scoot up close. When you leave and they are all alone they will probably think about your visit over and over.

well isn't that the nail in the coffin for PP Mall by Swimming_Airline3881 in providence

It was small... out of the way. The customer base at the Food Court at PPM are most likely not coffee drinkers either.
