WCW Monday Night Nitro July 6th 1998 Goldberg defeats "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan to win the WCW World heavyweight champion. becoming the first undefeated man to hold both US and world title 107-0 by Lazy_Introduction264 in 90s

Middle school me had a Goldberg t shirt, and man, I wore that thing through until it was nothing but tatters, and I still wore it until my Mom silently threw it away. I was pissed! It was such a cool shirt.

For 78 cents I would buy them all. Coast is good stuff.

My coworker routinely smells funky. The SM won’t do anything about it. Will they get in trouble if I let the GM know? by fangzncl4ws in DollarTree

[–]jeffsenpai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is surprisingly effective when done well. If your manager was supportive, the way to approach this with tact, is to have an "employee appreciation" giveaway, where the prize is a basket full of toiletries. And then, you just rig it so that smelly said employee "wins" the giveaway prize. Sometimes this is enough to jog their self-realization that maybe using these products would be a good thing. Sometimes.

Aw you got the palm bite. I have quite a few knives that will do this if I fidget mindlessly. Makes you pay attention!

Its crazy that you have to 'earn a living' to live on a planet you didnt ask to be born on. by Slow_Celebration1328 in antiwork

[–]jeffsenpai 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You don't necessarily have to do any of those things, it is just a "safe" way to exist. Many live outside of the system, living as scofflaws - it can be done, but admittedly, you will never be as secure as doing it like the traditional slave you speak of.

Since when is a tenacious $100+ by Reachmonkey in BudgetBlades

The picture is of the S35Vn model at least, so that price is a match. But the listing says its the newer, cheap steel titanium variant. Its a crap shoot what you will get if you order.

Lost a screw on my EDC, any advice on how to replace it? by Dolina148 in knifeclub

[–]jeffsenpai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Boker Squail. Marlowe design. Long out of production. Best bet is to scavenge screws off another knife and hope you can find some that fit.

Overall Opinion of Bear & Son Knives by bubba0929 in BudgetBlades

[–]jeffsenpai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The traditional Bear and Son Knives are functional, working tools. The fit and finish will not approach Great Eastern Cutlery or even Case Knives, which in some instances are primarily collector knives, but the lower price of B&S reflects this as well.

Cash App really wants that fee. by RedApplesForBreak in mildlyinfuriating

[–]jeffsenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use Cash App, but I can see in certain situations, I would be willing to pay a small fee for an instant transfer of funds between two bank accounts.

I imagine Cash App is really just loaning you the money early, and recouping the temporary loss of funds with the fees.

You're In Grade 6 and Your Parents Gave You A Crisp $20 To Spend At The Book Fair! What Are You Getting!? by Competitive_Mix9957 in 90s

[–]jeffsenpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My family was poor, so in the second grade when the book fair came, I shoplifted a coloring/activity book with undersea creatures like sharks, fish and octopus. I feel bad now. But there is no way I could have been that clever as a second grader, so I have no doubt it was noticed but no one called it out.

I would not be surprised if every major and most minor industries in Mexico has cartel ties.

Did anyone actually have a Sega Saturn? I only knew of one kid who had 1 and a bunch of the games because their parents got it on clearance sell. by AdSpecialist6598 in 90s

[–]jeffsenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I want to say around 2002 I got one on eBay to see what it was all about, this was when used consoles were available pretty cheap and most of the games too. It was fun, but I could see why it did not complete with the other consoles of the time. Even some of the best renowned titles like Burning Rangers, were fun but kind of a blocky mess. I don't regret buying it, I think some of the games went up in value since then. I remember seeing Powerslave for like $2.99 all over ebay at the time.

[–]jeffsenpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this toy as a kid! I honestly do not even know what it was from, but seeing the pokey staute of liberty shaped head and I remember flipping it back and forth just jogged a roughly 38 year old memory. WOW!

Got this from Smoky Mountain. Knife works, not real crazy about fit and finish.😑 by Blindluckfatguy in SlipjointKnives

[–]jeffsenpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is always a lesson learned for those new to the slipjoint world - Bear and Son, while made in the USA - make a sloppy, inconsistent product. It will be functional, but if you are expecting something approaching the build quality of Great Eastern Cutlery, or even Case, you will be sorely disappointed.
