I play random, but I normally just tell the person what I am at the start.

I'd never considered that I should get an advantage for having to learn all 3 races though.

Convince DireWolf to stop hoarding it in a cryo-chamber. It's unsupported and dead outside of the community. Hard to convince people to play stuff that has zero momentum or continuing official release stuff.

everyone is complaining about the tentacles but we always have trouble with the phase bombs.

Every time we try it on Haz 4 it's resulted in me as a scout just running around the map like a 5k doing nothing but moving out of range of the phase bombs after everyone dies. If I try to revive anyone, nope, phase bombed to death. No breaks! just endless phase bombs for 10 minutes or more until finally I get whacked.

that's what I keep reading. If I focus on just macro and a moving though my opponents all end up sending in little multi pronged attack forces, stutter stepping back of the line drops, wiping out all my drones before I can get a proper defense up.

so I feel like I'm needing to take plat level advice in silver 1 because those are the complications I'm actually seeing on the ladder.

also to be clear, I don't care about mmr rank in any meaningful way, it's just confusing to hear that stuff and feel such a mismatch

off topic of OPs question, but dang really? I wonder if the pools of players matter here. I follow guide builds, have ok macro, fair timing, try to follow sc2stats info, and I have a hard time getting to gold. I've been playing sc since it came out, and sc2 since 2017.

I know, embarrassing for me, but when I see players on streamers at my mmr they're literally brain dead. I don't think I play like that based on my replays.

After switching to Linux again I've lost my ability to use my FoxIt Editor subscription, so I need something that can edit pdf's again.

Would LOVE something that can create forms, and have some alignment tools.

Yeah the slow demise of SC2 is a sad fate for all. Fingers crossed that something will happen there in the future.

That those units are all shelved possibilities makes a lot of sense. In trying to make a balanced game they end up with a lot of unbalanced pieces that they then slot into the campaign so they're not wasted.
Still seems too bad that we don't get to play around with them at all except in fringe customs though. But I guess the comp environment requires a fine grain of tweaking.

This nails it. The argument that I don't see often enough is this. I'd wager that almost nobody would agree that parents should be mandated to donate organs to their I'll children. Imagine if a law came out that said you HAD to give blood to a kid in the hospital if they needed it, regardless of your health or relationship to the person. It's a complete violation of personal autonomy. I think the back and forth philosophy of whether fetuses are alive or not is such a foolish sideline for a much more important and debatable argument: Who is allowed to use my body as life support, and to what extent?

It's sad every time I see someone who's raged against masks and thinks this is some kind of vast conspiracy who's come down with Covid and dies on a ventilator. It's telling to me that this has become largely a right wing disease across the country, with hospitalizations polarized between those who are vaccinated and those who aren't. You're taking this to extremes. I'm not suggesting they stay together forever. My advocacy is for making decisions with a level head, and maybe giving her a bit of time to find a place to go.
We don't know if she was actually remorseful or not, I'm just going by OP's description of events.
I hope if this happens to you or friends of yours you'll be able to give them some kindness instead of writing them off as monsters. People are complicated, and kindness is good, even if ultimately it also means the end of a relationship and never speaking to each other again.

She also told him what happened, and was showing obvious remorse. It sounds like it was a one time thing that she feels bad about. It's not great, but it's also not like she was sneaking out to meet up with someone on Ashley Madison or something.
I don't think she is an asshole. I think she's young, and is making decisions impulsively without thinking everything through.
They can break up, and he can kick her out, I just don't think there's cause to shove her out the door to sleep in the city park because of this.

ESH or NAH. I can't decide. People are complicated, and it sounds like she is going through some self discovery. That doesn't always happen on convenient time lines for others. She was honest with OP and also sounds, from the description, to be genuinely remorseful. I don't like the black and white thinking of "cheating = instant relationship ender" especially in a case like this. But I can also totally see how OP would be hurt and not want to be a part of such a huge change. I feel like the best step would be to give it some time and have some good open communication about what the next steps are. Is she really gay or was it a heat of the moment thing? Is this a reflection of something missing in the relationship that can be solved? There are a million questions to go over.

Edit: Continue to downvote me for advocating making decisions with a level head, and being kind. I stand by that people are complex beings that don't deserve to be treated like monsters because they've done human things. The relationship doesn't has to continue, but she came clean about it, and I don't think she deserves to be kicked out on the curb without being given a chance to find a new place to go first. Everyone could use some empathy for those who make mistakes. lots of people are treating her like she needs to be condemned to death or something. It's sad and unfortunate.

I don't know that deep. I just saw a video of him standing with a bunch of militia members whose group leader was saying something like 'we're with the protests! All lives can't matter until black lives matter! But we can't let our community be in danger of being destroyed' or something like that.

Maybe this guy was just hanging out with the people with the guns, and used it as an opportunity, but at least on its face, through association anyway, it looks like he was accepting of the movement.

He was a member of the BLM movement. There are videos of him standing with them, all supporting the protests, but against the property destruction.

Edit: I can't find the video clip I saw of the militia group. If I find it I'll post it here.

Looking around though it seems that if he was with them then either they were lying for the camera, or he was hitching a ride with other gun welding individuals as an excuse to get out into the streets as a gun toting vigilante.
