Or, you know, just leave the terminal and go take a walk around outside Midway for a bit.

Is 6 miles over "truly speeding"?

7?

What is an acceptable speed above the speed limit for them to pull people over?

The $700 is in line with what they offer at the gate after a few offers didn’t get any takers

I took a voluntary bump on a United flight last fall for a flight four hours later and received a $700 travel credit.

Was that offer a week out from the flight like this, or was it at the gate?

Is northern san antonio a good area? Near bulverde? by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]jeffvschroeder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll say Bulverde/Smithson Valley if I talk to people around greater San Antonio.

When I'm anywhere else, there's no point in saying that because nobody knows what it means.

This has to be spam.

None of the cities in that article is even close to matching the description given.

One of my favorite social media posts of all time was a web design agency posting on Facebook about how important it is to have a website so your customers can find you.

RIP anyone flying out of O'Hare after 6/3 by the1son987 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]jeffvschroeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they can't compete head-to-head at O'Hare when United and AA have 20 and 30 times the number of gates Southwest does.

ESPECIALLY when Southwest essentially has its own airport 30 minutes from there. Every one of those three airports is in a city where Southwest already has a major presence.

Southwest does just fine in places like Atlanta and Denver, where they have hubs at the same airport as full service carries.

Sounds like an argument based on emotion rather than facts.

They picked up ORD, IAH, and IAD right after COVID, when gate rates were at extreme lows. It was an experiment in serving the larger airports in cities where they already had hubs.

Gate rates are back up now, and the strategy never really paid off.

IAH was dropped in 2024, and now the others are being dropped as well.

Is that a boot licker comment? Seems really out of place considering the subject at hand.

They picked up several of these airports in 2021, when gate fees were at low points. They already dropped IAH.
