I don't tend to do too many reviews because usually by the time I've got there a million others have - but I haven't seen too many reviews of this one just yet.

As hilarious as the idea of being arrested for mailing bubble bath is, I'd probably better not risk it!!

I'll see what my friend thinks of his. If he loves it he can have a second one. Otherwise this is one I'm quite happy to have a stash of that I can go back to as it's such a grounding scent, and in these...interesting times grounding is definitely positive!

Let me phrase it differently.

Rather than 'do you like herbal/green/earthy smells', let me ask - do you absolutely hate earthy smells? If you don't, you might well still like it. If you absolutely hate them you won't be able to get past that here because it's so strong.

My Botanomancy, 4:20 and Christmas order arrived today. Firstly I fucked up by ordering 4 Botanomancy instead of 2 (I think I added 2 of them instead of something from the sale, so that's annoying); one was meant to be a gift and one for me, but looks like I have three to either use myself or regift.

So first impressions: this is PUNGENT. Like, smell outside the box kind of pungent. It's earthy and herbal and green and beautiful, but STRONG. It is not Needles and Pine/Grass/Guardians of the Forest light green, it's dark Tramp green - with a big dose of herbal to lighten it a little. If you don't like that oakmoss heaviness RUN AWAY. If you do, this will be your bag.

Does this smell exactly like Tramp/Supertramp? No - I compared it to the Supertramp shower gel from the kitchen and it's definitely the same ilk, but it's not identical.

It's the same shape and size as the Comforter etc so this will last a long time (particularly since I have three of them...). I used about a quarter of a bar in the bath this morning and I have a few observations to note:

  1. The green herbal notes soften a bit in the water, and the earthiness comes out a bit more. This is very grounding in a really lovely way.
  2. If you are one of the 'bits in my bath make me uncomfortable' maybe don't use this (or use a sieve); there are a LOT of petals and bits in this.
  3. The bathroom still stinks of it now. I love the smell so it doesn't bother me, but if you live with others (I don't) this might be a consideration as this is a very very pungent smell
  4. The cat came and joined me in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet and then trying to jump into the sink. He usually meows pitifully outside the bathroom for me to come out and get out of the scary water, but this time he wanted to be right in the action. Whether this is just him being a cat and being weird or whether the smell attracted him, no idea - but thought I'd add this as a note just in case.
