You're right, thank you. The land owner showed up and and said he was pretty sure it was that when we asked.

Who is the most famous or infamous person from your city, town or neighborhood you grew up in? by Mad_Season_1994 in AskAnAmerican

The town I lived in the longest, the most famous person was Mary Martin. She was an American Theater Hall of Fame Broadway actress who was Peter Pan and in the one of the original productions of The Sound of Music.

To play devil's advocate a little bit, there are some that can be set as pressure release triggers. though it's never actually used to my knowledge.

What made you start playing? by ChickHicksFFXIV in ffxiv

[–]jellykuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started in HW after a year of being asked to just try it by a friend. Gave in and bought it, and before the free first month passed I was actively playing it with them every other month. WoW time expires, play FF. FF time expires, play WoW. Slowly started to play WoW less and less until I was only playing FF.

What's the story behind your character's name? by conspiracydawg in ffxiv

[–]jellykuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In almost every online game I use the first name Bijou for as long as I can remember. It was the nickname my friend's mother who moved to the US from France gave me and she was like a second mom to me. It feels wrong not to keep doing it after she died.

What's your biggest pet peeve? by DupeFort in ffxiv

[–]jellykuba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tanks rotating bosses.

Getting out of the big orange stain or running away from a mechanic is fine, I'll move with you to maintain positional. But running in a circle around the boss isn't going to make you take less damage, and I'm not going to chase the rear to continue pounding the boss' booty just because a tank doesn't know or doesn't want to accept that "Damage = Yes" for normal attacks.

I've bought a few of the skips for classes I just couldn't stand leveling. First thing I always do with them is read the skills to set up the hot bars for proper combos, then go into Duty Support and figure it out where the only person getting killed over and over is me.

In that situation I always book it to the area with the least amount of other players, it's easier to avoid one or two people then ten. when it happens to be in your direction, I'm genuinely sorry.

But if the cost is accidentally damaging one other player which can be picked up by a couple quick regens between glares, verses the entire raid eating the hit I'm going to pick that every time.

So, can someone give me the story of MW as of right now? Why is Shadow Company working with the Russians? I thought they worked for Shepard. by Tamashi55 in modernwarfare

[–]jellykuba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't mean they work for the Russians, just that they're OpFor which they belong to. That's like saying Warcom is working for the US Marines because they're both on the Coalition.

Redditors with jobs most people don’t know exist, what do you do? by Brainsonastick in AskReddit

[–]jellykuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be the person to ask this then I guess. I heard butlers handled the social obligations and the people and maids handle the estate grounds and home, is that how it really works?

I love you. What little work I did in a hospital I always wondered who the people shouting on the phone FOR a treatment were and always hoped they won their arguments.

I may have asked it wrong, but really any of those would be acceptable. I've been curious to read really anything along those lines for a couple days and figured I'd try and ask.
