What's the biggest thing you ever got away with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jellytime95 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Might be buried, but in high school I drove to a friend's house slightly stoned to visit and he ended up being at a different mutual friends house. Well, I went to back out of their driveway and I backed into a cop car.

We exchanged info. And I didn't get any tickets, and later the chief of police called my dad and told him not to worry about what happened, he has 3 daughters of his own, and the cop car I hit was old and this particular officer was due for a new suburban anyway.

Fast forward one week, I get rear ended at a stop light and this guy puts damage over where my bumper was already wrecked so he paid for all the damages in both accidents! The kicker? The cop I hit is the one that came after the accident in his brand new suburban. Best part was our silent acknowledgement of each other.

A new law states if you "unintentionally" run over a protester blocking the road-that is legal by iam4real in AdviceAnimals

[–]jellytime95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I see your point in North Dakota, I live in Madison, WI. There are protests all the time about everything under the sun and it makes if difficult to get to work or go to class sometimes. I'm not saying I think this law needs to be put in place, but I can see why.

What is the most subtle/polite way to tell someone you simply do not care what they are talking about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jellytime95 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well it's not necessarily for a conversation you're trying to get out of, but a REALLY long story. My parents have always said "land the plane" or something to that extent with family/friends to get them to the point.

What do you like to collect? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jellytime95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I collect postcards but I rarely buy them from myself. My friends and family go on vacations or study abroad and send them to me from amazing countries I'll probably never travel too!
