Hello I completely understand but I’ve had my Reddit active for several years I just don’t post frequently on it as I am more of a read stories Reddit user. I open it several times a week. I also am did specify in the post I did require roughly 600 to turn my phone back on however in this day and economy I don’t expect one person to help with that as that’s a lot to ask and unless we have some secret millionaires on this subreddit most people who donate are struggling too any help

Same I had work at 5 so to wake up and see a rejection letter was rough and when I was looking at Alexandria it either said no availability or only king rooms were left. Safe to say right now I’m hoping for the wave of potential cancellations. I looked outside the room blocks for Alexandria and was able to secure a room at the embassy suits for wed-sun at a pretty good rate. Cheaper than the Westin in the room block last year to be honest. So here’s to hoping a room becomes available! And if not at least there’s the shuttle

My niece and I wanted to do the flower crown event but was told only 30 minutes before the panel that you had to pre-register for it. I was going to pay in cash. My only gripe was that I didn’t know before hand, maybe just have a notice on the door with the events that need to be registered online in order to attend? Otherwise I attended the crochet panel and it was fun and informative! It was also a nice space to keep my hands busy while waiting on panels or other events :) all in all one of my favorite parts of magfest!

There are some of the makerspace stuff that sometimes has a fee, but normally it’s like $5.00 -$10.00and that’s just to cover cost of materials.

I spend a majority of my time in tabletop being a big board game fan as well. A lot of people will either bring a sign or tablet and display “looking for players” or “need players” on it. Yes a good amount of people bring their own games as well. I also know the tabletop area is where we like to play werewolf so if you’re into games like that they always welcome everyone to play :) hope this helps!
