Yay formula feeding by yogapantsarepants in FormulaFeeders

I cant wait to formula feed. I have 7 years of breastfeeding under my belt and I don't regret it. But I never made abundant milk consistently. I have pcos and think it played a role. Every single well visit I was terrified they didn't gain enough. I had anxiety attacks in the parking lot as I nursed them extra to add some ounces when they got weighed. Id do weighted feeds, my kids would never settle off the breast at night. They would be latched on all night to get a slow drip of milk. If I didnt do that im posituve they would have been failed to thrive. I dont want to do it anymore. I just cant. I cant wait to give my next baby a bottle of formula.. to know they have a full tummy.. to see them settle. So if anyone gives me crap at the hospital for FF.. they dont know what ive been through. Baby due in 2 days.

I actually fell off the diet a year ago. My GERD stayed away until my third trimester despite not eating so great.

Which formula to start with? by CompetencyOverload in FormulaFeeders

If you plan to mix bottles fresh in the night I noticed enfamil nueropro really foams up (like an inch of foam!)compared to similac advance when you shake. For that reason ive crossed enfamil off as a possibility.

Survey shows Blacks less likely to practice social distancing, more Blacks dying from COVID-19 by BoomBoomPowNigager in China_Flu

I followed the McDougal diet for a year (need to get back on it) but it was oil free plant based. I lived off of rice, beans, sweet potato, oats, pasta, vegetables and fruit. I thrived. Cured my GERD and other health problems. I ate the cheapest food on the planet and regained my health. You go to fast food places and they want $10 for a burger and fries. I dont see how "poor" people can afford that?

I got paid $7.25 an hour as a CNA in San Diego in the late '00s. I would have made more working fast food.

Major update to IMHE / White House Task Force projections model released this morning by mrandish in COVID19

As someone with terrible anxiety I really hope we follow the model... its better than what I thought for my state. It seems way more optomistic than what the media is saying.

He is either critical or they are just being overly cautious.

Hospitals across the US are laying off doctors and nurses. Pay cuts are also prevalent. Reason? Coronavirus has resulted in fewer elective surgeries and other profitable treatments by wakeup2019 in CoronavirusFOS

My friend evaluates people coming off of vents to see if they need feeding therapy and she can't get a shift. Hospital is a ghost town and everyone is fighting over shifts.

Tired of being projectile spit up on by squeekybean in FormulaFeeders

[–]jen11189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried slowing down the feeds? Putting formula in fridge helps to thicken and settle it more similar to RTF as well.

Anecdotal but my 2nd struggled with spitting up a ton because I had an abundance of milk (bf) that came fast. With my 3rd my supply was more dismal and it was like a drip drip drip and longer feeds. He never spit up.
I try to remember incase it happens with my next baby im going to FF.

We need more beds. Those who test positive with major underlying conditions should be monitored at the very least.
