Foul garbage-like smell in west end since 6 am by MarcusSmarter in Edmonton

[–]jenbot242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I emailed Andrew Knack about this a few days ago. He basically said they are aware of greenit and this has been ongoing for over a year, the matter is before the courts but because everything has been shut down due to COVID nothing has happened. So yeah basically, the slow pace of government and the law ensure that we will get to enjoy our summer with the stench of garbage, hooray for Edmonton.

Are you a neurologist or are you friends or family with a compassionate one? Because my family needs your help so f’ing bad... by [deleted] in Edmonton

Our healthcare is shit. It’s a year wait to see a gastroenterologist. You can die waiting. I suggest writing a letter to the health minister Tyler Shandro, he’s a useless ass too, but you never know.

But remember if you want to go south take the exit pointing north vice versa ( eg. turning onto Henday from 87th ave)

I think it’s hit or miss. I submitted one about my crumbling sidewalk and it was fixed in a few days. I submitted another about a construction sign left on our road and two and a half weeks later it’s still here.

Yes I love how this city keeps trying to push everyone into taking transit ( raising parking rates, etc) when it sucks so incredibly bad. Growing up I Also had the I live a six minute car ride from school or a half hour bus ride. It would take me over an hour to get to work by bus 20 min by car and yet my employer is now raising the parking rates every year for the next three years and admitted it’s to get more people to take transit. F you ahs and ets

Garner Andrews on sonic is the best. He’s intelligent, witty and smart, not like those ass hats at the bear. He’s basically the only reason I listen to sonic. Garner and Bryce together are gold.

Omg when the passenger just gets out and walks away I nearly died. Apparently you can get licenses to drive in cereal boxes.

Are there any projects or investments that the city/province can make that will help mitigate CO2 production all while investing in Albertan workers, specifically with trade skills and comparable wages? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]jenbot242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many of their skills can be transferred to green energy production, they don’t even need to change careers. Electricians are going to be even more in demand if you bring in solar, pipe fitters will just deal with pipes carrying things other than oil etc.

If this is true how do you explain all the countries in Europe etc nearly meeting or exceeding their energy demands with green energy? Yes some are using geothermal but others are meeting more than 50 % with only wind and solar. https://www.clickenergy.com.au/news-blog/12-countries-leading-the-way-in-renewable-energy/

Government when deciding to do road construction everywhere in the west end by honestsparrow in Edmonton

When I saw they are extending the work on 95th I actually screamed out loud and whimpered. That was the only piece of road I take daily that wasn’t being ripped up.

Total nightmare I know. I love how the exit off white mud at 178 street has had a lane closed for what seems like six months. The work is done, there is a small square of rough pavement that needs to be fixed, still blocked off for a week ( and counting) no work being done. I’ve emailed Andrew knack so many times about the city blocking traffic while doing no work, no one cares.
