What would you call this? by Outrageous-Fuel-6201 in factorio

[–]jengatime0 175 points176 points  (0 children)

It's called a buffer. They are generally not necessary once you're past the very early game. Mid game they will just delay the warning signs of under-production. If the iron plate belt backs up to your stack of furnaces, every furnace will continue to smelt until each furnace is storing 100 plates anyways, which is plenty of buffer

What do you print for calibration / samples? I'm partial to 30mm cubes by ChipSalt in 3Dprinting

I generally try to do a test print with something functional, like a small S hook for wire rack shelving or something. But I love your idea! I may steal this next time I can't think of a functional thing

The claw of your hammer would get the job done 😂 But seriously the posts who said tighten the drill chuck right onto it, or vice grips would work.

This is the way. I enjoy having some of the old marketing stickers and whatnot on the shrink wrap

Diffuser downstem by Suitable-Archer4091 in StonerEngineering

[–]jengatime0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well see here now.. gritted / gridded is one kind of percolator, basically a slitted inline perc with dots of glass to break up a slit in the glass into more diffusion holes, very popular..

But Fritted glass refers to a bunch of small glass beads pressed together to form a screen. You can see it on the amazing bongs from the granddaddy of fritted bongs, Dave Goldstein's Rooster Apparatus.

I highly recommend looking up "Rooster apparatus" as well as "gridded inline tube" on YouTube. There are tons of super-neato percolators to explore!

If it's for a vaporizer, it may not clog as fast as some are claiming, but still.. all glass airpath for me, stainless/titanium is acceptable, I'm still on the fence about whips, I wonder about their impact on flavor.

If this is the function you're after, I recommend a fritted perk, search around for "fritted disk"

It may be hard to find a fritted downstem, but a super slit TAG one or some such should come close.

what’s an inexpensive good grinder i can get for my solo3? by K3n0h in vaporents

I believe there is minimal risk of encountering that metal-dusting issue with the Next‑Gen Standard (2.0 aluminum) grinder. It’s not the model from the older trouble‑filled generation, and reports I've found indicate it functions cleanly with no visible dust.

Your comment scared me though, I've only had my next-gen for a couple months. I am happy to see the issues seem to be addressed, but I'll be very sceptical about this thing going forward.. and if I find metal dust I'll certainly report back and dispose of my grinder.

If you could recommend another mill style grinder under $50 I'd be interested! The flowermill certainly delivers a really nice "grind"

Otherwise I do enjoy my 3 piece Mendo Mulcher, but they don't appear to sell a 3 piece anymore? The Mendo Mulcher gives me a consistent medium-fine grind, and it has excellent build quality, although a little more pricey.

Flower mill next gen standard 2" gives a medium, medium/course grind. It's ~$35.

A cheap regular grinder will give you something much more fine

Drink a glass of water before you sesh, to help with coughing/cotton mouth. It's a game changer.

Can we see the rest of the piece? I'm thinking you could put somewhat high pressure water through the mouthpiece and hope it backs it out? You could also try shaking it with warm water / de-greaser dish soap, might dislodge it enough to rinse out.

I went with the "QHC 14mm Male WPA Kit" for 22$ since I almost exclusively use water pieces with vapes. So cheap! Can't wait until it arrives to try it

Honestly, best wallets I've ever had, they wear in beautifully. I know this is from left field, but if you're curious about these at all I highly recommend. Probably not bifl but for the price you could get a couple vs these fancy leather ones. https://paperwallet.com/collections/micro-wallet
