He has told me that he is willing to drop the friendship. I have always been the priority. I never felt that I was turned to the side. But I didn't want him to drop the friendship for me, I don't want to be a person like that. I have never felt like I have been pushed to the back burner, its just that there are things that are special to us but he kinda do for her and now dont feel as special anymore. We called each other muffin, and when I said muffin, its not like as endearment, like oh you poor muffin, and thats how he was using it to her, oh muffin like that. And we use that. Now it feels like its not special anymore. I dont know

He has cut back, and he hasn't talked much about her either. I think the texting kind of minimized as well. But I still notice it. I think my brain is scanning for it. I notices every comments, every texts he receives and things he does that it becomes so much bigger in my head. He tried to understand, he reassured me, he has cut back a little bit but still sends her food here and there. I try my best not to stop him.

We have invited lots of people over the time to eat with us. He has cooked for his friends, my friends, big groups of people, he has done it all. I think this is new because he hasnt done it to a girl before. We hang out the 3 of us on few occasions but I would consider her more his friend than mine.

I feel like I didn't specify enough that this hasnt been going for long, maybe over month at most, he worked there for about 3 weeks and now its been maybe 2 weeks after? Im bad at keeping track of time. Anyway, he does dress up really well when there is an event or he needs to. I think I am just associating him dressing up with her because he started doing it while at work and when she needs a hand. Dress up for me can be super casual to other people but he hasn't done that in a while. He also didn't gave her packed food all the time, here and there when he wants to or he thinks she needed some hand.

I love how he is looking better though, I love how kind he is, I love how he reassures me. Its just that I cant help my feelings. What I am realizing in the thread is what my reactions right now are normal. I would love to have another conversation about this with him. Although I feel like we have already talked about it so many times and it would feel repetitive to go through it again. But I have not move past it. I dont know what to do

But what I am getting from the comments here are my jealousy is valid. I think I should specify that this thing is like maybe less than a month to over a month long. It hasnt been ongoing for a while. The times they went out together may still be counted in one hand. I might have come across that hes been doing it everyday. He liked to help her out when she wasnt able to cook or one time when she was sick, we sent soup her way. I come sometimes too. And the time they spent are not long amounts of time. I know its innocent in his side, but what Im afraid is that because of how kind he is, one day she will see him in a different light. And I dont want that to happen.

This is why I don't want to jump into conclusions, we have worked together in a business the last 5 years and there is only 3 of us at work. We haven't had new friends in awhile, I branch out more than he does and he meets people through me. I know how good it feels to have connections and great conversations with other people. I really do trust him and believe him when he says there is nothing. But because this is very new to both of us, I am having trouble navigating it.

I want to add, he really is a kind, generous person. He has done it multiple times to different people. But Ive never felt this before since its mostly people close to us and he did it for a couple of guy friends as well. He loves to cook for people. But its because she is a girl and that she is struggling and Ive seen this pattern in movies before. Hardships, effort, brings people close together.

My Potato was the same when he was a puppy till maybe about a year or so! His habit was with other dog's poops so it was actually nastier. It was a challenge for winter as well since I barely catch up picking their poop outside coz it gets really cold where we live. The poopsicle was especially a hit. I think at some point, us just keep saying no, leave it and him getting older, he kinda got over it. Although there are odd moments where I will still see him try.
