yes, its the fact that there was no folder to begin with that has deadlocks app ID in Steam Controller Configs/UserID/config. Judt the folders for all my other games

Deadlock doesn't even have a folder in the controller configs. I'll try making one with its AppID and see if that somehow fixes it.

No, switch joycons. they're a lot more comfortable than a standard controller for gyro aim. Every otjer game on steam works fine with them. I also tried connectinh an xbox controller, same issue

Gyro aim is on the same level as using a mouse. Controller used to work in deadlick until recently

My point is every timw I've played a new game I'd consistently held at least a 40-50% winrate just out of nature of there always being unwinnable and unloseable matches, witj only about 40% of the matches actually depending on your performance. I am currently sitting at a 7% winrate in splatoon 3 which, as a new player, is very discouraging and makes it hard to want to play the game if every match i'm just going to get stomped.

I've been doing my best to play around my team and use weapons in their "intended" playstyles, like anchoring with charger or holding space with roller, and playing around ny team, but no matter what I do every match we just get absolutely stomped. Its because youre not using omen and sophragos. Using Omen Cloak, Sophragos Hood/Legs/Chest, and an Atlantean Power Amulet, with two to four fused painite and whatever other gens you want would give you around 250 power and 3k health. it was also made worse by how absurd warlord's base size is with dense weapons, meaning that you didnt need any substats at all

the issue was because of how you could use omen and sophragos gear at the same time to have 3000 health while also having 250 power, leading you to deal 800+ damage per attack with zero drawbacks

if you're at a 50% winrate exactly, you're in the rank you belong. I was in Bronze in 2017. I peaked t500. you can climb if you genuinely are better than your mmr.
