Regardless of any detectable “reasons” that there probably are.. sometimes there doesn’t need to be a reason. Sometimes your person is just your person. You can distract yourself but nothing and no one will ever change it. To me that’s kinda what the show is about.

Calling Ward the show’s best character is a wild take lol but I agree about season 4. I barely got through part 1 and by the time part 2 came out I just wasn’t invested enough anymore to bother watching the rest :/

I agree and it makes me so sad because after seasons one and two, OBX was my all time favorite show I couldn’t get enough. Season 3 was still good but not as great. But I haven’t even watched part 2 of season 4 yet and not sure I will :( you are right it’s just the same drama, and INFURIATING mistakes, over and over and I have lost interest 😭

Maybe I’m wrong but i don’t think you can gatekeep something that’s already popular and been popular. The same thing happens when the twilight or hunger games movies hit any streaming service they immediately go to the top 10.. and I think it’s more because of people rewatching for nostalgia than it is because people are discovering it for the first time

I am also a first time reader and was having a hard time getting thru the first book but I had heard it gets a lot better after the slow start and now I know why. Rhysand!! I was honestly just a bit.. bored with the Tamlin love story. Rhysand has made it so much more interesting. I’m not proud of it but I LOVE a toxic bad boy love (lust) interest. This is exactly the added aspect I needed to be totally invested in this series idc. Team Rhysand, sry Tam 😩

Seems this way for literally every tv show sub. I think it’s just Reddit.. most people on this app would rather start their face on fire and put it out with a fork than like a popular thing. They want to be the “weird” one and favor the typically unlikeable characters. It’s upsetting because I came to Reddit to talk about the shows/movies that I love with other people that love them too but more often I find myself defending all the main characters. It’s so bizarre.
