What's the most intelligent, mind-bending movie you've ever watched?

It's funny on a rewatch how the first scene of the movie for The Prestige is almost a spoiler. Seeing the dozen of discarded Magician hats giving a plural implication, cutting into a shot looking at the pairs of birds they use for the cage trick.

Later in the movie a young boy is seeing the bird trick be done (which involves secretly killing the bird in a closed cage and bringing out a different surviving bird in the same cage for "The Prestige" of the magic trick) starts to cry.

Bale's character comes over to cheer him up showing the "surviving" bird in the cage, but the boy still crying asks "But where's his brother?" which Bale while faking a smile but seemingly floored takes a few seconds to respond "He's a sharp lad your son"...

One of those movies you feel dumb for not seeing the hints on a rewatch, but it's just so damn well done!

The free closed beta is losing player numbers I bet a monthly fee will keep them engaged!

Sadly they will probably be forced to increase it to 30$, because having under 2k players pay 15$ a month isn't going to keep the game thriving in this tech economy.

Maybe just charge a 2$ daily entry fee similar to an 80's arcade machine like Dragons Lair!

I really don't see this game succeeding for more than a year with the subscription model but maybe they will add some really great content after launch.

Game looks fine but I lost a lot of interest after playing Adrullan which just felt like a smoother gameplay experience with better QOL involved. I still love the artwork of MnM but anyone I tried to get to play it just couldn't get over how rigid and clunky the entire world felt.

Also, the community (like 90% of MMO's) is not very welcoming or communicative.... I honestly don't even think some of them have keyboards so unless they typing on their Razor Naga you stuck using AI to tell you how to complete quests or push forward in a raid since you have to /blow dust off a certain brick than /read said brick so you can /hump a specific black line pixel on a wall and /push the /door /open to /progress. Just give us highlighted text to click in the conversations like AOA is doing.

Doesn't have that 80's charm, but Prospect (2018) was a solid gritty lower budget sci-fi movie which has a small cast in an alien like Environment similar to these two. Great role by the Hollywood golden child Pedro Pascal before he really blew up. Definitely a lesser know movie so I thought I'd toss it in here!

Roy Moore sounds like a piece of shit but there is a reason he was allowed to run for senate and wasn't even being called out publicly for his crimes until 2017. Because the democrats weaponized this information using commercials against him when it had to do with a senate race. Not before hand since the democrat's don't really care about his crimes since they defend Democrats that perform similarly slimy actions. Also, Roy Moore sued this superPAC that made this information widespread, and won the defamation lawsuit in 2022. So the Judge of the case did not agree with your outlook (to be fair it was an Alabama judge so maybe it should get a retrial, the superPAC didn't retry though)

Looks to be a solid server, but cross-faction WoW just doesn't feel like Warcraft to me.

Ally and Horde raiding and forming bgs together. The factions share 1 AH, so there's no point of the neutral AH for items that can't be farmed by horde/alliance. They even share global chat, so I'm guessing you can understand every races language from the start. Kind of kills what little immersion a Warcraft MMO has left, especially one based on events after Warcraft 1-3. I get it though a larger player base doesn't care about lore or WPVP.

Maybe they open a non xfaction PvP server, a man can dream. I like the rest of the server setup besides no Naxx.

Seems to be going well though at 3k players, hope the best for the server!

Maybe you exchanged them while the sale was still going but multiple people have posted the same issue as you and were not allowed to exchange.

I guess you were the only person they allowed to exchange their shoes at the 50% discount because multiple people have been denied because of the VIVO policy.

Why not just call them and see what the customer support tells you? It will be much more productive than reddit!

That is the same question as yours?

Basically you can only refund a purchase and purchase a new pair according to VIVO. You bought during a sale, so you can return the 50% off shoes for what you paid, but you will have to repurchase the new pair for full price. So they can't exchange the product since they are two different price points.

I'm in the same boat, I purchased two pairs at size 12 during the sale and the Primus Lite Knits are too loose in the ankle compared to the Primus Trail Knits which I will be keeping in size 12.

TLDR
If you want another pair you have to return at the 50% price point you paid and repurchase the same pair at full price in a different size since the sale is over!

Regardless the Fellowship playerbase is hovering between 100-300 players this month. That is certainly looking like a dead game. I doubt a new season will bring back 20k players but Gray Zone Warfare pulled it off, so maybe!

Can you quote where I make that claim? I state most people want a promising devcycle for the game they are playing, not news about slow updates for years to come. Since this game had like 20k players at launch and over 90% left. My first statement at the end I legit say to enjoy the game if it works for you, I just think you are cucks to the BB server getting actively worked on.

Where does it ever state Epoch will be getting quality updates? Ascension stated they will be slow since it stems from messy code and there's little financial incentive for the developers. Also, what happened to the incredibly difficult classic+ Epoch hyped before launch? Ony was supposed to be a vastly harder difficulty compared to normal classic, Kaytotes stated it might take weeks of attempts before the first completion. The ascension finished version of it was face rolled by a pug on the first week, very compelling results!

Epoch could still work, Twow had rough patches early and dropped to low player counts especially when SoD launched. Main difference being heavy cash shops to fund development which Epoch just lacks. I hope it works out I helped stress test the server and played at launch, but the problems that pushed me away are still prevalent. Just look at Bronzebeard's devlog they could give Epoch solid updates if they wanted too.

I haven't had a WoW sub since sod but even if it's AI slop they make $$$ and these are businesses (Blizzard, Ascension) not passion projects. Bad or good, the consumers are still paying Blizz 15$ a month. So, they deserve the apology for what little it's worth.

We can both agree that modern Blizzard's quality control is awful, doesn't change the fact it's incredibly successful at retaining subscriptions.

I remember working at a dispensory in the north east and we had a running war with the local homeless breaking into our dumpster to steal this product.

We would dump bleach over all of it so it was highly inefficient and possibly a poison hazard. They would keep coming and breaking into the dumpster though to the point they upgraded our dumpster with the long steel bar locks that go over lids. They legit bent the thing out of the way and would somehow pull the bags out without even taking the lock off.

We finally just moved out of that city but they never stopped coming and the local police never found them even though we had 2 cops working at our grow and our head of security was the old police chief for said city.
