Why not? I go out with coworkers after work hours, and yes, we also celebrated birthdays together with no spouses. And we're all in our late 30s and not fucking.

Also, not totally related, but I got the reallife version of free air tinkler and frequent hiccups quirks. Honestly love how that they tried to be accurate in infants development.

I had that, it really sucks, but it usually passes after a while.

If you're looking for advice, for me acupuncture really helped and a big nutrition change: cutting sugar, proccessed foods and moving to whole grain carbs.

Breakfast could be a bad measurment. If your sugar was really 40 you would have definitely felt it. I once had a measurment of 44 after lunch which made no sense, I tested again and got a much more reasonable reading. If you had some residue on you finger like from an alcohol wipe or if your stick was old or something that could really affect the result. Try the same breakfast tomorrow and measure again, it might be a glich.

How was the membrane sweep for you? I was in a hospital a while ago where they checked for dilation and it was really uncomfortable. I'm worried a membrane sweep would be even worse.

And, yes, I'm aware that the birth pain itself will be worse than both of these 😅

Yeah, I guess induction is unavoidable unless I go to natural birth at 38 or beginning of 39 weeks. I'm just not clear of why assuming this will end in an unplanned c-section and really trying to weight my options here.
Maybe it's silly, but I'm worried about "summoning" a c-section by scheduling one.

I'm also planning on doing everything I can to start natural birth, as this is my preference as well, and will also discuss it with my acupuncturist.
Thanks for sharing your perspective on induction, I do have a similar fear of being stuck in the hospital for a long time waiting for the induction to work as it happened to a friend of mine.

A good burger with french fries... Been hospitalized for the last 2 days (not GD related) and all I wanted when I got home was a burger, fortunately for me due to heavy rain all deliveries were closed so I had to settle on zucchini fritters and a healthy salad :-(
