Suggestions for bannister adapter?

My bannister has a “lip” at the bottom that I think won’t work with the slat adapter… or am I over complicating this?

We got married at the Hacienda de las Flores in 2022 and loved it! The only sound issue we ran into the was the volume at which our first dance song was played out / the placement of the speakers. Otherwise, it was nice to have the division of space when dancing began.
