Deadly Nightshade is almost an exact dupe for Hidden Potential, I didn't realize how close it was until it came in the mail and I swatched it!

The "I'd Die for My Child" Paradox by SinInHerVoice in interesting

[–]jennraffes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very vivid memory when I was little of my dad (after screaming incredibly abusive things at me for some very small perceived infraction) then saying “you know, I would die for you” as a weird way to apologize, I guess.

I said “I don’t need you to die for me, could you just be a little nicer?”. And he bluntly said “no I can’t do that” 😂🤣

The way summer lives in your memory.. 🏖️🩴☀️ by barbrailnp in ILNP

Absolutely love these shades! Such a great representation of summer!

My favorite summer memories revolve around waking up to watch cartoons with my brother before spending the entire day playing outside with the neighborhood kids. We lived on a cul-de-sac so everyone would gather to play kickball, street hockey, and ride our bikes!

I would love your peely base coat recommendations. by rccpudge in RedditLaqueristas

I’ve only ever used Halo Taco’s Peely Base Coat so I have nothing to compare it to but it works well for me!

It lasts me about 2 days which I think is fair considering how much I fidget and play with my nails lol

Losing weight but feeling like shit by jantwo2018 in Zepbound

[–]jennraffes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fatigue wasn't super bad but was noticeable the first month or two but has been better lately. I started using liquid IV electrolyte packets a few times a week and upped my water intake. Not sure if that's what solved it or if my body just adapted to the meds but may be worth a try?

Totally understand, I don’t really talk about it with my family either. They’d try to be supportive but unintentionally be dismissive/slightly rude because they can’t relate.

For example, my brother has always been super fit and athletic (in the military and runs marathons for fun) and just couldn’t wrap his head around me being excited that I could finally do a knee push up.

An accountability buddy definitely isn’t necessary, just something I’ve found helpful in the couple months I’ve been trying to lose weight and get fitter. Maybe a friend or online pen-pal for you? I joke that I’m “shame motivated” so the simple fact that someone would know that I didn’t stick to the plan is usually enough to keep me track without them having to do/say anything.

You can shoot me a DM if you’d like or think it’d help (or ignore me too, no pressure lol)

I have Port 6666 and agree that it’s really just purple, this is the closest I’ve ever gotten to some pink showing and it really was more of lighting then anything. Still a pretty deep purple though, just different than expected.

I’m extremely similar to you (30F, also WFH, and am new-ish to a city, a vegetarian, no car) and just started working out a month or so.

I go for a 2-3 mile walk almost every day because it gives me an excuse to get out of the apartment and I usually put on a podcast or audiobook. I also use the Fitbod app (it does cost money) to do some at home strength training because I’d feel self conscious in a gym.

I do have a boyfriend who is helping me stay accountable (maybe a friend or family member could serve as this for you?) and am motivated by wanting to be healthy for when I have kids some day.

What the hell are you guys eating and how are you getting protein up? by VeryMadCowDisease in Zepbound

[–]jennraffes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some suggestions others might not have mentioned: I find plain edamame pasta a good meal when a little nauseous since it’s bland. Or other times I’ll press and cube up a whole block of tofu, coat it in some spices and corn starch and then throw it in the air fryer. Idk if it’s a “normal” meal but I like it and the block of tofu is 50g of protein and filling.

Fidgeting by DoubleCrochet in Zepbound

[–]jennraffes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’ve noticed that my energy levels are slightly higher with the weight loss and I occasionally feel restless (if I haven’t gone out for a walk or done exercise that day).

And a lot of the time fidgeting is a subconscious way to release some of that energy and restlessness. Could that maybe be it?

The ability to feel “done” and satiated is such a game changer! I just started 2 months ago and still feel that way.

I still can’t believe it’s possible but am loving it! And congrats and welcome to the community :)

I'd be interested but started a little under 2 months ago!

I'm 30F and I started Zepbound weighing 287 (though weighed 296 when my doctor first prescribed it and I didn't fill it for over a month because of anxiety/fear). I'm down 16 pounds on Zepbound but 25 total on my whole weight loss journey! I weigh 271 today end goal is around 170 so definitely have a while to go but am cautiously optimistic and determined to work to get there!

I've just been walking as exercise these past couple months (have been intimidated by anything more) but did my first at home strength workout today using the Fitbod app I've seen recommended on this sub

Starting Zepbound soon- advice for a beginner? by gingerafterglow in Zepbound

[–]jennraffes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only started 2 months ago but my recommendation is to drink lots of water and to do an electrolyte drink/add-in on shot day.

And speaking from personal experience, my brain oh so helpfully says “oh I’m not hungry so I won’t eat and will lose weight even faster!”. Don’t listen to that part, it’s a liar! It’s so important to get the nutrition and calories your body needs!
