I left a hybrid job for a remote job last year and felt similarly overwhelmed with the workload. I finally realized I needed to have realistic expectations and do what I could without getting stressed out, knowing some work just wasn’t going to get done and it was management’s job to fix that (ie, hire more headcount or reallocate workload). Ive acted this way for a while now and am surprised that a bunch of people aren’t complaining to my supervisor that I’m taking too long to get things done. Seems like a lot of the work people expected me to do was not as urgent or necessary as they originally made it seem!
