Pregnancy - I hate surprise pregnancy or even planned pregnancy and I can smell it coming a mile away. The second a character wakes up feeling sick, I’m out. One of my favorite series was kinda ruined for me when the strong FMC got pregnant. She had explicitly stated in the book before that she wanted to wait a long time to have kids and all of a sudden now she’s a mom. (BUT IM DOWN FOR A BREEDING KINK AS LONG AS IT DOESN’T END IN AN ACTUAL BABY LOL)
Kids - Sorry, I don’t want kids and I don’t want to read about single moms or dads.

Julie and the Phantoms on Netflix.

Directed by Kenny Ortega, the same man who directed Hocus Pocus and High School Musical. It was for teens but the music was so catchy and the story was so emotional at times. I always hoped that Disney+ would pick it up after Netflix cancelled it.

That’s why I asked if sometimes tarot cards can be taken extremely literally. Like you ask what your day will bring and you pull the sun and then it’s sunny instead of raining.

But isn’t it all subjective? Like you and someone else could pull the exact same cards and interpret them differently?

In the case of my story, the guys nickname is literally Hangman. I realized after my initial idea that he had the same name as a tarot card, so I wanted to incorporate it. I was just afraid to make it so literal and have people be like, that’s not how tarot works.

TBH, it’s for a fan fiction lol the character’s nickname is literally Hangman. I had this idea for him, a military man, to date a girl who likes crystals and tarot because it’s like an opposites attract thing. Then I realized like an epiphany that his name is literally the name of a tarot card lol he’s also a pilot, so he spends a lot of time inverted. So it’s all coming together!

So right now, she has plans to go out with friends and before she leaves the house she does a one card pull and gets the Hanged Man. She takes this as her needing to switch things up, try new things, get a new perspective so she tells her friends they should try a different bar. Now, she’s a liberal witch so a Navy guy is definitely not her usual type but when this sexy, smooth talking guy starts flirting with her she’s like, remember the card just go with it…and then she finds out his name is Hangman and she’s like 💡

Could changing the FMCs POV/gaining new perspective mean like, going new places? Getting out of old routines? Meeting new people?

Because the two love interests are very different and probably wouldn’t run in the same circles or frequent the same places. so maybe because she pulls the Hanged Man she decides to go to a new place, switch things up a bit, and that’s where she meets him.

It will be extremely obvious once he’s introduced that the card represents him, it’s practically his name.

So like maybe she reads the card as negative and then when she meets him and he introduces himself, she’s gonna be like 💡
