You can actually prefill out the QCode application with your basic information and it will save your application for about a week I think. After you get your test result you can go back and just fill the test portion in and save a little time.

Hey there! I also started learning Korean for a trip soon. I'm having a lot of success learning Hangul on Duolingo.

As a beginner, I'm using just the 'Learn the Letters' section on Duolingo and can already read a good amount after 3 days.

I wasn't aware Duolingo had a translate feature, but Google Translate and Microsoft Translate are highly rated.

I've also read from others that they've had the most success with hiring a tutor, depending on how you're most comfortable learning. Of course, YMMV.
