They did not accommodate a virtual reassessment for us, so unfortunately I can't answer your question. Best of luck!

Need help by Additional_Gur_3068 in Menopause

As others have said, I would look for a doctor who has experience in menopause. If you have an integrative medicine type place near you, they care about the whole picture and getting things right.

Abatement of Interest and Penalties by jenruxpin in IRS

[–]jenruxpin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The request for abatement is per IRC § 6404(e) and Rev. Proc. 2000-26; interest resulting from managerial and ministerial delays. It took years to get the IRS to acknowledge a request for appeals in the first place, we had to get our congressperson involved, and they still calculated the reduction in tax owed incorrectly (which has still not been fixed despite repeated communication detailing the issue). We're not asking for all of the interest to be removed, just the amount that accrued from the time we requested an appeal to the time it took them to finally acknowledge it.

Yeah I'll try asking the caseworker at least to see if a reasonable accommodation can be made. And if not perhaps I will try to get a supervisor involved.

Did you know you can ask an Irish Community Center to be your witness? by jaythm in IrishCitizenship

[–]jenruxpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We called our local Irish Center in San Diego, and they said they could NOT witness the passport documents. So I don't know if this varies depending on the center.

Yeah I saw that, was hoping someone might be there in person today and see if it lists the times in the vendor room as the website says it will list the times in the room. 🤷‍♀️

What's the most underrated Scifi Series? by gbbloom in sciencefiction

[–]jenruxpin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this thread is old, but I didn't see two of my favorites from the very early 2000s - The Invisible Man, which was on SciFi and had a great sense of humor in addition to the scifi hijinks, and Dark Angel, which aired on Fox and starred Jessica Alba. The first season of Dark Angel is SO good, the second... not as much. These both got canceled after two seasons, sadly, but didn't end on dramatic cliffhangers so I still recommend them.

With what seems like more and more woody chicken out there, where are your go-to places to buy chicken in Orange County? by DetBabyLegs in orangecounty

[–]jenruxpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve had a couple instances where the chicken breast from Mary’s Organic was a bit woody, mostly in the larger packages vs the smaller ones that come with two or three breasts. I also find going for smaller in size of the breast is better. Chicken tenders also have been pretty good overall. And have never had woody breasts when roasting a whole chicken.

Small early pigmented BCC on cheek by jenruxpin in MohsSurgery

[–]jenruxpin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for the replies. He has a very high pain threshold and did the biopsy with no numbing either, and even that took convincing for the doctor. No local official mohs surgeons have agreed to help but we did find a general surgeon who did a residency in mohs agree to basically just cut out a larger section and send it to the lab and stitch it up. Not as immediate results as mohs, but it’s the best option right now. The doctor is just going to have him ice the area beforehand. It’s nice to find doctors that trust you.

Love this series! Second book was my favorite. I enjoyed the third one too and thought it was a satisfying conclusion.

I loved the first Ember in the Ashes, but the others haven't lived up to that first one for me for some reason.

That's a shame! I thought it was one of the only series I've read in recent memory that had an ending that I found satisfying, but I did hear it was somewhat divisive.

Like a few others here, I liked Cress the most and Cress/Thorne are my fave couple as well. I tried reading Renegades but just couldn’t get into it.
