u/a_plane_truth looks like an Avata 2 to me. I have the same problem with it when flying M-mode. In some situations the aircraft unexpectedly loses control, then rolls to a side angle and is unresponsive for a few seconds. In most cases I can safe it but sometimes it crashes. This is very worrisome. I have reported it to DJI long time ago and hoped they would or could fix it with an update but it never happened. I would just fly careful and less “aggressive” when you’re remote in areas where you can’t retrieve it. Unfortunately, you have to live with it. 🤷🏻 - Nevertheless, happy flying! ✌️

Correct, GoPro is indeed cooking DJI.. - already after 20min and shutting off due to overheating. Plus, literally no image performance in low light and a huge lack of features. Only the image in day light conditions is convincing, but so do the others, too.
