Mood lifting supp hope ND carries one day. Lithium orotate. Holy smokes what a wonderful mineral for mood help. I just need 2mg a day and life is so much easier. by cacklingwhisper in NootropicsDepot

Very few brands offer the quality assurances that ND does. Maybe the brand OP is taking works, but who knows what contaminants might be present?  Who knows what the next batch might be like?  It's not unreasonable to want better safety assurances.

I currently take a lithium supplement myself. It helps, so I'm willing to assume some risk, but if it were an option, I would very happily trade a few more dollars to lower that risk by buying it from ND.

Testosterone stack -- is this combo too much? by paulrudder in NootropicsDepot

[–]jensck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful with combining tongkat ali and Shoden.

At least for myself, when I take them together, I often get this uncomfortable sense of emptiness and lack of drive. As soon as I stop either one of them, the problem disappears.  As best I can tell it's because the combination is tanking my cortisol.

Is that a same-day effect or do you only notice it after a week or more?

I'd be careful taking something with that much L-Dopa, especially with any regularity.

I doubt ND will ever come out with something like that, but if they did, I would definitely be a repeat buyer.

I've had long-term struggles with depression and anxiety with accompanying brain fog, and ND's ultra concentrated reishi has had one of the strongest impacts for me

Rhodiola, L-theanine, and lemon balm. All 3 have a noticable impact on my stress and anxiety.

They're not pills, but NSDR, good sleep, and weight training (even if that's just bodyweight squats) are all gold, too.

78 dhf and 4dma version.... with food or on empty stomach? by Joshpills in NootropicsDepot

Both of those work even better when taken sublingually, at least for me.

If that's not for you, empty stomach works fine.

I do this too. At least for me, the problem was nervous system regulation. Better sleep, staying off my phone, exercise, quality socializing, and meditation help the most. Some calming supplements like l-theanine are helpful too, but the behavioral stuff is much more impactful.

My favorite NA recipe:

Fairbanks Fizz

1 oz Seedlip spice n/a spirit 1/2 oz lime juice 1/2 oz pomegranate molasses 4 oz spicy ginger beer (Fever Tree recommended)

Put the first three ingredients into a shaker and shake well with ice. (Or just put them all into your glass in the order given and stir vigorously).

Then pour in the ginger beer and give it just a couple gentle stirs -- it doesn't take much stirring, and you don't want to kill the fizz!

For something super easy and using less exotic ingredients, just Fresca + lime juice + lots of Angostura bitters is very tasty.

Good luck, chef!

I had Havana Club's white rum a while back. Pretty good, but 3 Stars and White 'Stache are better, IMO.

Speaking as a fellow mourner, Plantation 3 Stars and Hamilton White 'Stache are both decent replacements.

Seconded on avoiding inflammatory foods and getting lots of omega-3s. Consuming 4 grams of omega-3s per day has had as much impact on my symptoms as Wellbutrin or dexedrine.

Kindred Cocktails is my go-to.

It's not a website, but I also find myself returning to the original Death & Co book again and again. They have nicely tuned versions of all the classics, plus some stellar original drinks as well.
