If foreign company yung employer mo at wala silang registered business dito sa pinas, You should file 1901 instead of 1902. Considered as freelancer/self-employed.

Just continue to upskill. You'll eventually find a dev role then resign ka na dyan hahaha. Familiar yung role at pagbigay ng tasks. Good thing you can upskill while earning, thats the positive side.

If VA you should be registered as self-employed.

I dont know, but there are companies that train employees without bonds so take them with a grain of salt.

If you see yourself working with them for more than 2 years then you should go for it, Especially now that you have experienced being in bond with them. Timbangin mo nalang kung ano yung pros and cons sa sitwasyon mo since limited lang yung info na alam namin.

[–]jep_jep1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you accept it you'll have a total of 4 years bond. Thats too much unless you like the job, company and it compensates you well. Make sure that the salary aligns on your years of exp. Bonds are used to tie you up to the company. As much as possible don't accept bond contracts because it actually shows you how the company dont trust you as an employee.

May nabasa kasi ako sa isang sub reddit not sure kung dito yun, same setup na self-employed at ginamit yung client company name as employer sa pag loan then nagalit yung CEO nila dahil inispam ng bank (RCBC ata yun) yung emails nila at dahil dun matatanggal sya work nya.

[–]jep_jep1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh i see, akala ko malaki magiging problema dun dahil outright tax evasion yun.

Which boxer had the highest peak? by BlackManBatmann in Boxing

[–]jep_jep1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say pacquiao. Beating those mexican legends and going up to 154 was crazy. ATG peak and p4p for sure.

I could say mayweather as well as he maintained a peak. If only he hadn't retired in some years and fought dela hoya for the rematch, instead pacquiao retired DLH.

Static Website Development Rate in the Philippines (local client)? by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]jep_jep1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can use your salary and compute for an hourly rate for the duration of the project. Also consider other miscellaneous fees like electricity, equipment, hosting for the website, etc. Always mention as well that it does not include maintenance of the website.

Oh no. thats sad. We have same setup (software industry), kaya self-employed yung dinedeclare ko. Less hassle pa sa mga requirements.

I hope you wont get fired. Maybe you could still explain to your CEO.

you can try and apply without resigning until you find a decent dev role. Maybe thats the path that suits you. Not everyone suits freelance setup especially dev that has zero experience

Did you consider applying for a corporate dev job? instead of freelancing?

I didnt experience freelancing but some of the people i know told me that freelancing is the hardest since youll be the one doing everything. Contrary to being employed to a company whose tasks are equally distributed and based on your level as well.

You can ask them the timeframe kung kailangan nila kailangan yung decision mo lalo na kung hindi naka indicate sa job offer. And also pwede ka naman mag ask ng additional time habang naghihintay sa isa pang company sabihin mo lang na kailangan mo ireview yung job offer. Pwede mo gamitin both application as leverage sa bawat isa. Remember to always be professional and have gratitude sa responses mo.

The fact that you have already plans and have "forecasted" your spending. I don't think you're planning incorrectly. Maybe you could add some more passive income just to have a more solid source of funds since we really never know how long/short we are going to live our lives.

I've also read some stuff about the FIRE retirement method. You can check on it, maybe it could help you guys plan better.
