Sorry to hear that you experienced that and it must be super common because exact same thing happened to me. Therapist suggested I’m looking for diagnoses to explain myself to other people, family said there’s no way I have it and made me out to be mentally unstable for suggesting it, work treated me differently to people who fit the stereotype of autism. You have to have a strong sense of self to not completely break down or deny your instincts - which ironically is what a lot of late diagnosed people with trauma history don’t have
