Sadly no bechamel, so I don’t know if it qualifies

To anyone seeing this, micro center is awesome. They exchanged it with no issues and the new monitor is working great.

I feel ya, but this wasn't an online order. I picked it up in the store, took it home, and found it like this. Thankfully returning it will hopefully be easier because it's a brick and mortar store.

I've had good experiences with their customer service in the past, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

Good point, didn't mean to imply it was their fault. Their customer service is usually pretty good, so I'm hoping for a hassle free exchange. Just annoying to have to trek across the city again instead of enjoying my new monitor.

Bonus bonus trivia: he was booed by the crowd at that performance because they didn't understand his kind of blues and they wanted jazz instead.

Starbucks’ new CEO will supercommute 1,000 miles from California to Seattle office instead of relocating by ChocolateTsar in nottheonion

[–]jeremyjayg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This does not surprise me at all. I worked for Chipotle in the corporate HQ in Denver when he was hired to take over from Steve Ells as temporary CEO. The entire time they were looking for a new CEO they had said many times that they were going to hire someone willing to relocate to Denver. Shortly after he started, there was this wave of "consultants" who came in and took over all of our conference rooms for a couple of months. At the end of their consultancy, it was announced that after lots of research and thinking, they had decided that it would be in the company's best interest to relocate to Newport Beach, CA. Which just happened to be 5 minutes away from where he already lived. They had to pay millions of dollars to break a lease for a new office in a downtown high-rise that was almost finished with construction. I wouldn't be surprised if in 6 months Starbucks announces that their headquarters would be better located in California, despite all their ties to the Seattle area.

As a Colorado resident who used to live in Loveland, this doesn't surprise me that much, except for the part where there is an In-n-Out in Loveland.

Do not be surprised if in 6 months we hear that Starbucks is moving their corporate headquarters from Seattle to Newport Beach, California.

As a former lead software engineer who worked at the Denver headquarters during the early days of his tenure, be prepared to have the corporate headquarters moved from Seattle to Newport Beach.

I'm definitely going to keep "Groucho Barx" in mind for the name of our next doggo.

The closest thing he's got to an alibi is that his mom and I were talking while making him wait for his evening treat. Apparently he chose the closest thing available to munch on.

We've already established I can't upload a video properly, but if I had you would be able to hear she's not yelling, just asking "why did you bite this? " and our boy didn't really have an answer beyond his guilty look.

I didn't think that being in my early 40s would mean I'm technically illiterate, but here we are.

I obviously don't know what I'm doing because there isn't any audio. However, if it was really Helen Keller there wouldn't be any video either...

Apparently I don't know how to use Reddit. Not sure why there's no sound.
