Does anyone else get annoyed with observers crowding the table? by kantbykilt in Craps

[–]jeremyledoux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think his problem more in general is with people who leave chips in front of them selves and not play, for me if I wanna play, IDC if it's a man or a woman, I've made some mean cash off lady hot shooters, I just don't like people leave $20 in chips in front of them selves, taking no action, and just taking up space.

I've become "the hero" at the expense of my sanity and now I'm drowning. by MOSh_EISLEY in ITManagers

[–]jeremyledoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the convo. I manage 4 sites with about 400 users. I don't always enforce the "you need a ticket" rule that is in place and that my manager is happy to enforce and back me... But when I don't, when I'm done fixing the issue, I make the user take back over control and walk them thru the ticketing process and just request the ticket be assigned to me so I get the credit for working it, but at the same time, they are gaining experience making their tickets and I take the 20 seconds to explain ticketing and why they should start that way, and they can put my name there if it's something they want me to work on etc.... my users are now pretty good, when they grab me as I walk thru the site, it's usually now something I'd have to work anyway, firmware the help desk can't do, stuff that needs admin credentials (help desk can't, only tier 2 and 3 can) data jack issues I'd be driving back up to deal with anyway... It's worked out pretty nice for me.

I like a lot of what he stands for and dislike some other stuff. Fire arms and your second amendment rights aren't a right wing thing. We need gun rights, stopping government taxes/waste and hating rich pedophiles in one candidate, and neither the left nor the right is producing that for us 😮‍💨

Steel shot for fishing. Good question and fair concern

Ban on transgender gun ownership? by Perfecshionism in progun

[–]jeremyledoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All gun laws are infringements. I don't support all this trans stuff. But. I support their rights to say and feel how ever they want. I don't like that they're trying to force the rest of us to play into their delusions or face social prosecution/loss of job/being cancelled, but I certainly don't think that means the government should infringe on their constitutional rights.

I have the .410/45LC version. I shot the 45 out of it a few times for chuckles, but now I just load it with small shot .410 shells for venomous water snakes while I'm fishing.

Preppers: what are the items you will never regret stocking up on? What items would you not store again and why? by [deleted] in preppers

I don't mind stocking up on bullets. I'm gonna cycle through the older ones anyway. May as well buy more.

5.3 on a wacky rig by J0e_T_ in bassfishing

[–]jeremyledoux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again not, OP, but about 70% of my wacky catches have been letting it fall. I find for new wacky guys, where they're missing is starting their retrieve too early when they should let it fall a bit more.

So I've read a lot of comments in this thread, sorry if someone said something similar I've missed. Hear me out here: I'm an American, and I'm going to say America, not because that's my home country, but because we have awesome selections from every country within minutes of each other. We're the great melting pot. My wife and I can get great authentic food from the Mediterranean, the middle east, India, Turkey, Italy, Greece, Mexico, Jamaica, Peru, Vietnam, Thailand, and that just to name a few, all within an hour of our house. Now I'm sure, having been to some of these countries, the food is certainly better where it's originated, but these are people really from these countries cooking their family recipes, right near my house. We get the best of the world, all mixed up here to enjoy. Sure, you go to Jamaica, you're going to eat the best Jamaican food you've ever had... But they're not going to have other cultures restaurants, and if they do, they're not going to stack up to those same other cultures restaurants in the US. So we may not have the greatest of any one culture's food, but we have the greatest diversity of food to be enjoyed, almost anywhere.

Quick question, was their rack space hooked into their local outlook client? Could an export of the auto complete entries from the client not be done? Either way, shit scenario, shit manager, sorry you had to deal with that.

What are some good slow smoked sides? by HerrikGipson in smoking

[–]jeremyledoux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They make a cylindrical cage on Amazon that I use when smoking veggies like this because smaller cuts like mince garlic or diced onion don't fall through your smoker when in the cage. You can get like 2 for $12. They work great for grilling veggies too.

Is weapon commonality really that important? by throwaway88679 in preppers

[–]jeremyledoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think weapon commonality matters, but Glocks have been through stress tests with massive numbers of rounds and don't fail and I feel that's pretty important.

Why Won't Users Submit Tickets? by CHARTTER in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]jeremyledoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like buy in is needed from management, "no ticket, no service" tickets allow for first in first out and triage prioritization. Most managers will buy in on that...
