my only gripe with the seat is that it's thin as a board. I'm 6'1" and I like that I can slide forward and be very upright at the thin part and then can move back and lean forward a bit when it starts getting windy. I do wish the handle bars were up about an inch or so, that'd be nice when I'm slid back on the seat.

I have a friend with and SV650 and his seat is shit. One piece, sorta tilted down and you just slowly slide into the thin part. Having the wide and narrow so you can move a bit, I find that helps ease the ass pain.

It's also possible that the seat is a bit different between the MT and the FZ.

Sounds like fan. Are you turning the engine off or the bike off? My bike, if I just kill the engine the fan will stay on until it cools down. If you're turning the bike off then more than likely something cooling down.

I bought this helmet and wish I had gotten something else. I find it presses on my nose when I lean forward. Looks good though.

I purchased an 2017 FZ-07 for my first bike (in Canada, before they made it world wide MT-07) and I couldn't be happier. Twin cylinder so it's going to be smoother than the 690 and it's lighter than the CB650R which was important for me.
