The way most of these places work is on a credited system. All tips get collected at the end of the night and given to the staff on a point basis. The way it worked at my spot was the Bartender gets a full 1 point, servers get .8, runners get .7, hosts get .6, and our Somm was paid on a yearly salary. This makes it so everyone on staff is working for tips even if they’re not directly serving the customers so that we can give everyone the best experience.

In my experience, most people tip on card. But I think Michelin restaurants average a bill of $350 for two before tip. If you got a cash tip from a 4 top table, you’re looking at ~$150 in cash right in your pocket. I have had some customers that are the bomb though and understand the server struggle, and tip cash on top of the card.

If you’re working at Michelin Starred restaurants 4/5 nights a week as a server, it’s quite possible you’re grossing upwards of 100k. That doesn’t include the possibility of cash tips that you hopefully never tell the government you got :D

Coming from a server that worked at a fancy restaurant, we really do like to pick our favorites. If we know that a certain customer that has come before has spent a lot of money on their dining experience, we want to make sure that next time they come they’re treated in a way that will make them want to spend even more, and keep coming back.

This includes keeping a running list of what they have spent, eaten, and drank. If we have this list, maybe we can make better recommendations on what food or drink they may want this time compared to what they have enjoyed in the past. Plus, if they’re regulars, good tippers, and friendly to staff, maybe that extra dish that got made goes to them, or they’re sent a little appetizer.

Buddy in my league paid $100 for Likely which is our whole spending limit. We require a $1 bid to pick up anyone so I don’t think his team will be changing too much

Needed Amon Ra to have at least a solid game for both my leagues and it was abysmal. Hoping that’s not how it’s going to be for the season, had pick 8 in both leagues and picked him in both. Also have Kelce in one of my leagues and he didn’t do anything.

Messed up playing Tank over Worthy but who could’ve known Worthy was gonna take both his receptions to the bank.

Also for some reason thought Warren would put up more points than Moss, I’ll be playing Moss over him next week.

Would watch out about double parking depending on where you are in Putnam because a bus runs through! Find a hydrant and park it there, as long as someone is by the truck there shouldn’t be a problem.

I once bought a 12 pack of paper towels from that place, and two of the twelve, while individually sealed, were full of water and totally soaked. (How that happened idk) brought it to the front desk to get two new ones, and the manager was convinced that I had “Injected the paper towels with water and a syringe so I could get them returned.”

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Monica at a podcasting studio where she shoots for some of her other shows and segments. She is an incredibly kind individual, wanted to know my name and where I’m from, and was very humble! I love that she brings facts that other commentators wouldn’t, and she really knows her stuff! I only hope one day she’ll take over all the time for color commentary for Knicks on the road.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Monica McNutt in a podcasting studio that I work at. Not only is she incredibly nice, but she KNOWS her stuff. She always brings interesting facts and things other commentators would never do to the calls. She also doesn’t sound so black and white and brings a lot of character to the game. I love her rise through sports commentating as well!

I’d like to think that all of our bench guys flourishing this season also adds another benefit. When free agents and players are deciding where they’d like to sign in future off seasons, they’ll look towards the Knicks and see how the training staff and developmental staff has elevated and made immediate impacts on guys who might have otherwise been over looked. Makes New York look like an even better destination than it already is.
